That's mostly a matter of preference. I prefer MMM but WiiMod is good too, you should try both and see which you like better

Hey guys I'm trying softmod my wii but have some noob doubts
I already Letterbomb and installed the Homebrew Channel and when i got to the Bootmii only had the option via IOS and it gave me an error - later it showed in the menu the uninstall option of the Bootmii, so I have already have the Bootmii installed? Should I proceed ?

    Thanks in advance!

If you can only install as IOS that means your Wii is semi-newer, you should still be able to do a NAND backup though. But you may want to try reinstalling it to be sure it installed correctly. Just follow the guide and you'll be ok.

You can just install it again and it will overwrite the previous install. That's my recomendation.

some how my kids erased the homebrew channel and usb loader channel from their wii. i am trying to reinstall everything and ran into a problem. i have update 4.1u and downloaded bannerbomb v1 files. i get IOS 58 and 61 installed but then when i go back to the main menu i dont have an APP Manager to select for the next step. the closest thing i see is apploader. not sure what to do.

By the way, one last question now that I finally succeded () Is NAND emulation worth doing? Right now, I cannot imagine I would be using all my channels or save game slots, but in terms of safety... I'm wondering if I should do it? (Also, I wonder how the speed impact on the Wii would be from emulating the NAND)

Ok, so I click Uninstall BootMii and it was successful. Got back to the HackMii Installer and tried Install BootMii as IOS, it says "A BootMii install requires a SD card... Insert SD now". I clicked "Yes,continue" since i was working with a SD card on the wii as the guide says, but still got the error...

    A message appears
    "Mouting a SD card..."
    FAILED(-1).
    >Continue.

Same thing when I tried the "Prepare a SD card"

I'm using a microSD card with a SD card adapter, I read here it will work. It is because of that?

Its because the guy is describing the steps for Multi Mod Manager, but you are actually downloading Wiimod through the guide's links. Its a newer change that added wiimod. Just find MMM 13.4 and use instead(overwrite the files from wiimod on the SD), if you want to use MMM instead, so you can follow the guide completely

Find a copy of Multi-Mod Manager 13.4 and replace put the boot.dol in your SD cards root...it will overwrite the Wiimod boot which is giving a lot of people errors HackMii installer

You really should have just installed over it (no need to remove it and you shouldn't remove things unless instructed as you never know what could happen) but anyway, try using a standard 2gb SD card (I recommend SanDisc) your MicroSD may be the issue. If it still doesn't work you'll have to wait for a admin to help, they'd know more about that issue probably.

I'm wondering that myself. I still have 1200+ blocks but I would like to learn more about EmuNAND.
