Did you try and update your IOS already? if this would address other issues I would definitely do this ASAP

but quite hesitant since I only have few games in my Wii

Yup, I installed those when I hacked using this guide. They're perfectly save, as long as you install them as the guide says they will do no harm. I can't say specifically what the benefits are as I do not know what your Wii has installed already. But my advice is to go ahead and install the d2x v8 Final wads, as I said, they won't hurt your Wii.

Neogamma - This is a forwarder to Neogamma R9 Beta 56. It is primarily used to load backups from disc, however it also supports loading from SD/USB.
So for us with Black or other non White Wii's... Or without White Wii's build before Jan 2010... NeoGamma is not usable since our DVD drive won't play backup discs & can be deleted right... Or is there any use for it??? Other then by changing the disc drive to a compatible one???

Wait.. Missed the part about supports loading from SD/USB part... Humn...

Never mind... They just haven't updated the official threads.... lol - Guess is a 4th Loader for games... Will give it a shot too...

Never mind again... NeoGamma doesn't support Fat32 or NTFS so useless for me... Delete it is...

You could use it to load off USB but in my experience your better off with USB Loader GX or something similar. Just my opinion.

Yeah... That's what I am thinking too... 3 Loaders is more then enough... + GX seems to be the best overall since u don't have to chase settings online to add them offline manually on GX... I do like WiiFlow's smoothness... I think I'll just delete NeoGamma....

    Us wii not loading correctly

Not sure if I should post this here or in a different forum. I went thru the tutorial and modded my wii. Everything worked great. Then i tried to add the channel for the program I was going to use to save my games to my usb hard drive. I went thru the tutorial for 2 of them and found some info, but a lot of it the links didn't work. So I tried to install what I could. while I was installing, the wii said there was an update to HB channel, did I want to update. I did. It said it installed fine. I turned off my wii and a while later, tried to turn it back on. It is just a black screen. How can I get it back to the modded version with a channel for the software I want to use? I saved everything and backed it up.
    Thank you

You followed this guide to mod your Wii? If so, how long ago did you do this? And what exactly were you trying to install when this happened?

    00ppps

    in chapter 2 it says

If you correctly extracted all of the above, you should have this file structure on your sd card

and then shows some files. i dont have this, i have files and folders.
i wonder if that is right. i got a folder called apps and wads. maybe i am supposed to? i cant seem to progress.
but then im new to all this and was wondering where i went wrong.
i say in chap one it says nand backup, not optional do this. well, i first read it wrong thinking it said it was optional. now i want to start over but i cant because i already got homebrew (with bubbles) and i dunno where to start now. but i tried to letterbomb again just cause i wanted to start all over and it wouldnt let me cause it is already letterbombed. any advice?
