Same here lol, better to be informed than to screw something up IMO.

The problems that low96ac had was that he needed to get two IOS's installed before hackmii can run. 4.3 will already have these in place, so that step is skipped. So you shouldn't have the same problem he had. Just follow the letterbomb directions from the guide and you should be fine.
Thanks for the prompt reply and for the helpful information.

The second paragraph of your reply is the answer that I needed, and I know that letterbomb is for 4.3 SM because I had already softmodded our 2 units of 4.3 sm using letterbomb (previous version of the guide).

I am just worried that I will encounter the error a bannebomb user had encountered, and you have cleared my doubts regarding it.

We shall proceed in softmodding our wii. Cheers to everyone.

    Chapter 1 Probs...

Ok... So I decided to start from scratch... Since I've done this guide in the past & have the HomeBrew Channel.... I downloaded the "WiiMod-58-61_Hackmii_1.1.0.zip" The first error I found was that there is a "WiiMod-58-61_Hackmii_1.1.0.zip" within the .zip it self... I believe this is an error...

    The structure is:
    Code:
WiiMod-58-61_Hackmii_1.1.0:\WiiMod-58-61_Hackmii_1.1.0.zip - **Probably included in error**
    WiiMod-58-61_Hackmii_1.1.0:\apps
    WiiMod-58-61_Hackmii_1.1.0:\apps\wiimod\boot.dol
    WiiMod-58-61_Hackmii_1.1.0:\apps\wiimod\database.txt + icon.png + meta.xml + wiimod.txt
    WiiMod-58-61_Hackmii_1.1.0:\apps\hackmii_installer_v1.0\boot.elf
    WiiMod-58-61_Hackmii_1.1.0:\apps\hackmii_installer_v1.0\ (5 different .txt files...)
    WiiMod-58-61_Hackmii_1.1.0:\wad\
    WiiMod-58-61_Hackmii_1.1.0:\wad\IOS58-64-v6176.wad
    WiiMod-58-61_Hackmii_1.1.0:\wad\IOS61-64-v5661.wad

    I followed the guide...
    Softmods with HOMEBREW CHANNEL installed

If you already have a softmod with HBC installed, you can update your softmod with this guide.

Note: 4.3 wiis can skip installation of ios58 and 61, and simply load Hackmii from the HBC.

    Backup and Format your sd-card
    Extract
    WiiMod-58-61_Hackmii_1.1.0 to sd:\
    Load the HomeBrew Channel
Launch WiiMod - WiiMod will load

    -Select Wad Manager -Press A
-Press 1, -press A -Install all wads
    -IOS58 and IOS61 will install
    -Press "any button"
    -Press 2- load "App Manager"
    -Select hackmii_installer_v1.0 -Press A
    Hackmii Installer Loads

Everything works fine untill the "-Press 2- load "App Manager""

WiiMod calls option 2 "(2) File operations" and nothing happens when ever I click on button 2...

If I go back to the [Main Menu] I can choose "App Loader" & [Apps] & [HackMii Installer v1.0] to see what's in the folder... The contents of the folder is "boot.elf"... Once I tell it to load "boot.elf" all it does is display the following address "sd:/Apps/HackMii Installer v1.0/boot.elf"... And nothing else happends... Then I have to manually power off the Wii from the console Power button to be able to do anything...

I have read the following possible bypass for now... But not sure how it relates to us installing from the HomeBrew Channel since there is no existing boot.dol on the SD card with this method...

Will have a less involved and more permanent solution shortly.
I tried to follow the Temporary fix but it didn't work for me.... I copied the new boot.elf to both the root & to the HackMii folder & I could not see it thru Data Management / SD Card & I tried running it from WiiMod too & the same thing happen....

I'll probably wait for CJIzzle to get back to us to try some other way...

Note - I know I can skip Chapter 1 from my previous modding... But wanted to test out the new version of the guide from the begining....

You are right ....I have no idea how that got in their.

Alright, Take the hackmii folder and put it in your Apps folder on your Sd Card and run through HBC.
    That should do the Job.

    K... Did the following...

    Code:
    Softmods with HOMEBREW CHANNEL installed

If you already have a softmod with HBC installed, you can update your softmod with this guide.

Note: 4.3 wiis can skip installation of ios58 and 61, and simply load Hackmii from the HBC.

    Backup and Format your sd-card
    Extract WiiMod-58-61_Hackmii_1.1.0 to sd:\
    Load the HomeBrew Channel
Launch WiiMod - WiiMod will load
    -Select Wad Manager -Press A
-Press 1, -press A -Install all wads
    -IOS58 and IOS61 will install
    -Press "any button"
-Press B- till u get back to the "Main Menu"
-Press [Home] to return to loader aka "the homebrew channel"
-Launch HackMii Installer v1.0 - HackMii Installer v1.0 load
    Hackmii Installer Loads
-If u'r remote goes to sleep after choosing to Load HackMii... Just hit A or B button one time to wake it and go to Part 2 of Chapter 1 to continue...
My remote turned off as soon as HackMii started to load.... I hit A or B to wake it once the Press (1) prompt showed up at the bottom of the Warning Screen... I think this is normal...

Once HackMii started I got some test results...
    Code:
    The test results are in:

Using IOS versions: Installer: 58, HBC: 58

The Homebrew Channel: Can be installed
BootMii: Can only be installed as an IOS
          The installed boot1 version prevents a boot2 install (-2)

    > Continue

Is the BootMii & version prevention for boot2 normal ???

Yes , that is normal .
You can only install the Bootmii as an ios, that's because Nintendo patched the boot 1 vulnerability.
