I had a similar problem, I had the hit my Caps Lock a few times to fix, and then it eventually worked. I was using Firefox 12.0 with no special Add-Ins

I have a Red NTSC Wii, which I just modded a week or so ago. It has one red and one blue Wiimote. I seem to run into an issue when using the Blue Wiimote in Homebrew or in MMM (bannerbomber 4.1) or in Letterbomb 4.3u.

Good Red Wiimote specs: RVL-036 LMC-RVL-WR/F-CO
Bad Blue Wiimote specs: RVL-036 LMA-RVL-WR/Z-C4

I would hard sync the Blue Wiimote to the Wii, and ensure it's Wiimote 1. I did this a number of time so I KNOW the Blue wiimote is sync'ed to position 1.

    - When I run HBC 1.0.8 IOS58 v24.32 (to run the apps in the sd:apps folder). I just completely loose communication between HBC and the Blue Wiimote. The four lights on the bottom of the wiimote just flash forever. I would try to do another hard sync between the Wii and the Blue Wiimote, but it would not sync.
    - I tried to run Letterbomb (os ver 4.3u hack but I am running Wii os ver 4.1u). The Wii would just hang at Letterbomb, unsure if this is because of issues with the Wiimote, or because I am running os 4.1u on the Wii
    - I tried Bannerbomb ver 2, after I run the SD boot.elf the Wii gets into MMM but there is zero connection between the Blue Wiimote and the Wiil. I try to hard sync again, but it would not sync.

Then I try doing the same with my Red Wiimote (RVL-036 LMC-RVL-WR/F-CO) and everything works Perfectly! Zero Wiimote to Wii disconnects. Again, the Red Wiimote has hard sync'ed to position 1 before I start any HBC or hack apps. The Red Wiimote is just fine.

Why does Blue Wiimote (RVL-036 LMA-RVL-WR/Z-C4) have so many problems ? The Wii system is a Red Wii NTSC version

Edit: I think I found out the solution (should have done a better search first!). The link is below...

    Letterbomb please.hackmii.com

    Hi folks,

Did anyone manage to download bundle for Wii 4.3 with Letterbomb method? It times out after pressing "red wire" or "blue wire", can someone help?

    Tks!

Edit: I solved it using letterbomb with Linux (Chrome), didn't worked with Windows XP (Chrome, Firefox or IE).

Unhappy hackmii installer says suck it

Still can't install hackmii, it says "no vulnerable IOS found"

I already tried the Hackmii-FIX. Also the package that was downloaded via ModMii.
    From Hackmii-FIX wads i couldn't install 3 wad files:
    1OS236
    cIOS30-v6174-TED
    cIOS36-v3094-TEND
Wad Manager returned Ticket (-2011) error

From ModMii package these 6 files installed correctly, but has no influence on "suck it" result:
    IOS31-64-v3608
    IOS33-64-v3608
    IOS34-64-v3608

Casper should load, bootmii should load
Make a nand backup and exit to system menu
Run letterbomb again, blah, blah wiimod loads
    Select wadmanager
    Uninstall IOS58-64-v6176

Try loading the boot.elf from sd:\apps\hackmii\boot.elf from the black HBC backup channel
    or
Try loading the bootmini.elf from the bootmii sd loader

    Post sd:installer.log
Use giantpunes nand tools, nandbincheck. Do a check on your nand.bin
    Code:
    nandbincheck nand.bin -all -v
    Post the nandbincheck report

I can't seem to download the App Pack v4 from MediaFire on any of my computers. Is the link broken? Also, I modded my wii a while ago before the app pack update, I just need to get the app pack again so neogamma will run. Will it work with the new app pack, or will I need to update it?

    Softmod PAl to NTSC

    Quick question guys.

I'm going to use the guide to softmod my Euo Pal system to NTSC U.

I want to do this because some of the Pal games wont output properly in 480p using component cables.

(Link attached in-case anyone is interested Zelda Twilight Princess and Component Cable Help - NeoGAF)

So my question is if I change the default region to NTSC U would I be able to output NTSC games properly in 480p?

Or put another way does it effectively make my system a "true" NTSC model? I'm assuming all regions models actually have identical hardware?

    Thanks in advance.

Excellent, straight forward guide. Thanks alot. I have one further question, in regards to the optional channel software. I was previously using the Neogamma channel to load games but since updating via this tutorial, I have to keep my SD card in the wii to use the new neogamma channel, is there a way I can load the channel on the wii itself instead of keeping the SD card in at all times?

    Any help is muchly appreciated.

    Soft Mod on a MAC

    Hello all,
I am following the guide and am stuck at the verify checksums part. I am on a mac and the program recommended for verification of the sums keeps on crashing (10.7.4 os). I have ran md5summer.exe with Wine, but keep getting errors- sometimes as low as 2, other times as high as 17. Anyone have any advice for a MAC user?

    Thanks.

    Verify Checksums -very important
MAC users- you can use Free File Sharing Made Simple - MediaFire
On your PC, navigate to your sd card
Run sd:\md5summer.exe (this is run on your computer, not the wii)
    Click "Verify Sums", Select "ModPack.md5"
All check sums should verify without error (very important)

Click "Verify Sums" again, Verify CIOS-PACK.md5, IOS Update.md5, and any others you have
All Checksums should verify without issue. Errors = Bad News, so try again

    Hi Team,

I was wondering, the "Softmod any Wii" guide uses MMM (Multi Mod Manager) to install all the wads. While that has been an excellent methodology and tool in the past, how do we install the wads if we only have a "TR" Wiimote ? The work around solution of course is to use a spare older Wiimote, but... not everyone has that advantage.

Are we expecting MMM to support "TR" Wiimotes anytime in the future ?

Out of curiosity, other than the system menus, what's different in the ModPack zip files?
PS: twtwitter, why not just get another remote? You'll also have the advantage of playing multi-player :P
