I followed the guide using the most recent wads on a 1 1/2 yr old Red Wii that supports Wii Motion Plus, I kept having of a problem of my Wiimote disconnecting while I was running anything Homebrew'ish (base homebrew was ok). Config 70r34 had issues in Xenoblade as well (black and white play screen with almost zero music). GX would not see my 2TB HD. I was about to re-mod the Wii from cradle to grave, with my older mod wads from about 1 year ago, but... MMM would not allow the wiimote to connect. Frig, can't install wads now. Decided to just reinstall the older HBC, rebooted, downgraded to Config 70 and all is fine now. Homebrew apps are now ok. I think the issue was the newer Homebrew Channel. I have now have had two Wii's with wiimote disconnect problems with the most recent HBC.

UPDATE: I tried it with an external hd in an enclosure and now they don't freeze, they just flash a screen with blank channels and then it goes back to the menu. Is this because my hd is incompatible?
EDIT: i figured out why. its because i didn't have the apps in an apps folder on the root.

this guide is perfect and it worked for my wii, thank you but there is only one missing thing that is not included with the pack and it is the cios d2x and i download the pack from here:d2x v8 Final.zip
i installed them on my wii.those are cios d2x as wad files and installing it can be via the multi mod manager and thanks again.
(they are recommended for the usb loaders to run games in the best compatibility)

    Talking Help please!

I did the softmod any wii guide by Mauifrog a while ago (I think January this year, with the app pack v3 installed) and everything was running smoothly.
Gradually all the USB loaders stopped working (Wiiflow, USB loader GX, etc) until none of them do now.
When I try to load our HDD games it just wont load and would blink a couple of times and then go the main menu instead.
I've tried to find this issue but couldnt find anything on any posts.
Should I check something in the structure of the SD card? Should I re-do the updated guide?
I do not want to do try anything without asking and risk bricking it, hence this post.
Thanks for your help guys, this forum has been really great!
    Cheers,
    Moncho.

Do you have a backup of your SD card somewhere ? Sometimes I find you just need to reformat your SD and recopy all the programs back to it.
