4.3 would be defined as "all variants of 4.3" meaning 4.3u, 4.3e, whatever. The designation indicates the geographical area (u=usa, e=europe, etc)
So.... yes, the letterbomb does in fact work nicely on 4.3u.

I have another problem now...I'm at the part where I'm getting the red envelope with a bomb to show up on my wii...but when I click on it, it jsut opens up a normal envelope with my play time?
Ok....now I'm at the part where I'm on bootmii where the multi mod manager starts...and I can't move down to select wad manager because as SOON as multi mod manager starts...my wiimote turns off and does not come back on unless I turn the wii off. Also...after a few seconds, the multi mod manager screen turns into a bunch of dots just floating up the screen. Help please?

I bought along with my nintendo wii the game Zelda Skyward Sword.
It was necessary to update from Nintendo in order to play this game. Now i want to softmod my wii, is it possible following these instructions?

I have done in the past the procedure and goes well. For me and for others. Very helpfull and "clear" guide.
Now after some months, I see that almost all of the "components" are updated.
My question is :
- Can I do the same stages all over again, for update ALL the modules?
And I mean from stage 1 (Game exploit hack method).
-The new ones will overwrite the old ones, or the Wii memory will fill with duplicates?
-Will my saves remain intact, or I must backup everything before I begin?
Also one more question.
Some friends have older version of Wii. Can I update to the newer (as log as 4.3 is on the go and not newer) and then apply the hacks?
If so, will the Wii inform me if a newer version 4.4 lets say is available BEFORE I download/Update it?
Waiting for respond.
Thank you in advance.

EDIT. I got it fixed partially. I reformatted the hd to fats32 with no partition and put the apps on it. Theusb loader go works from it but not wiiflow or neogam,a but that's ok. Is there a way I can remove hem from the channel list.? Also can I boot auto to the usbloader instead of the wii menu?
I have followed this guide using the letterbomb. I have a 4.3u system (it was originally 4.1 but I let it upgrade a while back). I went through everything fine with no errors. My wii now shows the homebrew channel as well as the various loaders. When selecting them, 2 of the loaders freeze up ... usb loader gx and usb configuration loader (not positive of the names the wii is in the other room). and 2 of them simply reboot the wii, neogamma and wii flow. I have a hard drive that is listed as working on your site and I have it formated primary wbsf and then a 5 gig fat32 where I put the loaders (though they show up even with the hard drive unplugged). I'm sorry I don't know much about mods and things, I simply followed the excellent tutorial here.
On a side note I'd like to say the reason I want to use the usb hard drive is I've recently become physically handicapped and it would be wonderful be able to switch games without using the discs. I am NOT interested in pirating.

-we rarely ever recommend doing an official update. Use bannerbomb on the older system menu and do the IOS update section.
You can do that it you want to. Not 100% certain the config files will match, but at worst you will just have to delete them. Post back if you have any issues.

Hi. I'm new to this forum and I have a question. I have a black Wii and when I bought it it has Valbox Loader(HDD Loader) but it does not come with HBC so I don't think it is modded already. I'm not sure of its version though. So my question is, is this mod compatible with this Wii?
