Because 3.0 just came out and the apps pack has not been updated yet.

I was trying to update my already softmodded wii with this tutorial but im stuck at the the multi-mod-manager.
When running wad manager and attempting to install ios61-64-v5661. wad i get -Title (-1035). Ios 58 is completed successfully but
ios 61 did not complete.Any help to resolve this problem would be much appreciated. Thanks again.

Tried searching but either i'm using wrong seach words or the answer is hidden lol.

I really need some help on this. I have an original white wii (bought on the first day it was released) and followed the guide all the way through. I've just got some games backed up and tried using them but getting the message "drive is too new for dvd-r :-(". Can anyone tell me how i can fix/get around this?

    Much appreciated

Could someone help me a bit?

I have a new wii with new wiimotes, and I am going to mod it tomorrow. I have been researching a bit beforehand and reading a couple different guides but installing apps/mods is not 100% clear to me. Because I only have new wiimotes I am guessing the mods in the guide do not work for me.

So I have a question: Do I NEED the modpack and CIOS-pack in chapter 2? Or after installing homebrew channel and bootmii and making the nand backup, can I just go straight to moving new-wiimote-compatible apps to the apps folder on my SD, and then running them through homebrew channel?

Also, if I have some app that has a folder like apps/SOME MOD/boot.dol etc., is that folder enough to run the app through homebrew channel? And what if the mod has only a .wad and a forwarder .dol, how do I install it?

    Help appreciated.

You need the ciospack and modpack + you need to install wiimod to sd:\apps
Instead of loading MMM via bootmii, just load wiimod from the hbc
Install all wads as instructed, except use wiimod
You can't install priiloader unfortunatly atm with the new wiimote. There is priiloader 0.8 beta 3 which you could use, but it is a beta so I can't fully recommend you do that.

Then you'll need new wiimote compatible apps as old apps won't work. Like usbloader gx 3.0 or wiiflow mod or cfg usbloader mod.

I've been researching a bit more and all i can find is entries about people having trouble with gamecube backups or people who have bought new Wiis. I shouldn't be having this problem right? My Wii was bought in 2006 so my drive cant be too new. Is it that my drive is too old that it cant recognise the backups? Frustrating that I cant seem to find anything yet I know people have probably asked this before lol.

When you put the backup in the wii, do you see the game banner load in the disc channel? Have you ever had Nintendo do repairs to the wii?

Never had it in for repairs, i've only ever tried inserting the disc after i've opened neogamma as if i put the disc in before that it goes to "An Error has occured, please eject disc and turn off console" (or words to that effect) and when i put it in when neogamma is open it tells me my drive is too new :S

    Sir Maui,

    Hello, it's me again Charlze.

I have 2 new Black Wiis (4.3U) and have successfully softmodded the first one without problems using your guide. However, when I tried to softmod the second one I bumped into a problem.

I am in the WAD installation Launching the BOOTMII. My Wiimote cannot navigate on the list going to WAD MANAGER to install the WADS. I also tried to install a patched IOS 236 but still I cannot highlight the "WAD MANAGER" to install wads.

    Please help. Thanks
