yeah, no i mean the programs that install the first ios patch, won't work with new remotes. yeah, I hate waiting, unless someone knows of one of them that has been recompiled, but the ones that come in the wiimii pack do not work. homebrew works but that's about it. so i can't really get to step 2 or 3 in the process. I really wanted to use wiimc again but again i can't even get to that part without getting the vulnerable ios patched first. I'm a professional newbie. thanks for the response.

I have used this guide countless times and successfully modded many WII's.
    My question :

When ever a new WIFI connection is setup, the WII asks to do a system update....

If some fool accidentally does it,what will happen? Please note that patched system menu 4.1 is installed as suggested by guide.

Is playing the latest original games on this 4.1 softmod possible?

My friends got some new wii games as a present but those games won't play and ask for a system update.

If I use this guide to update the softmod will it be possible to play these new games although system stays at 4.1?

Or is an extra step necessary or do I have to make the wii virgin and update to 4.3 so they can play original games again?

P.S. They don't want usb loader and just want to play some of the latest games they have on original disk.

Hi. I am kind of new here-trying to soft-mod my little grandson's Wii.
I am even not sure if I post this in the right place.
If not, could you please point me in the right direction.
Now I am going through this guide and one problem I am having - the spoilers.
I never experienced this staff before - so i just tried to follow the links.
But I newer were able to get to the download part.
Obviously, i am doing something wrong.
So... could somebody help me here.
    Thanks

    Question on regional change

    Hi

I have a 4.3u wii. I followed all the instructions all the way until ch2 part 2 and I want to change it to japanese region. At first, I accidentally installed the modpack for USA. So I reformated the SD and redid ch2. However, when I go into Launch ARCmode06_Offline, no warning appears. Is it becuase I installed the USA modpack first. But I installed the Japanese modpack after and everything in arcmode still looks the same and no warning appears. What should I do?

    Thanks

Perhaps you are using a script blocker and the spoilers don't work. Allow scripts for wiihacks and the spoilers should work.

If you want to region change you must install the 4.1 system menu files for that region.

Unable to download SW - handling spoilers problem

    Hi.

If you are talking the java scripts, i have them enabled in my Chrome Javascripts console enabled.
But if this is about allowing scripts for the wiihacks site - i have no clue as of how to do it.
I tried this on all my PC's (4) and on a couple of my friends pC's - same result:

The download links point to some strange sites-usually some advertisements, surveys or some search results.
Also these links differ from normal (blue) links - they are highlighted green.

    See picture attached:

The download link here points to:
    file:///C:/Users/zf_aspire/Desktop/download.htm

I think my problem is that I do not know much about spoilers and how to handle them.

Can you or anybody show me what is it that i am doing wrong?

    Thanks again

Lol....those are ads. The download links should be blue. You can disable those ads in your browser settings.
