You can change to any region you like, even Korean.

    From the HBC-

    Launch ARCmod06_Offline

    Select IOS236 - press A
    Read the WARNING- press 1
You will see this error at the top screen "WARNING: AREA: SysMenu MISMATCH!"
This means your semi-bricked- which we are going to fix.
Use the wiimote, go down to-"system menu 4.1 installer"
    Select "System Menu Region"
Change the region to USA (or Europe or Jap or KOREAN)
Go down to "Auto set from System Menu Region" -Press A
"WARNING: AREA: SysMenu MISMATCH!" error will go away
    ,
    make sure it goes away
Do not install system menu 4.1
Verify that your settings are correct
Exit to the Homebrew Channel(do not restart)
    HBC will loads
Alright, I got a question, I'm trying to change my wii region with this instruction. It says DON'T install system menu 4.1 in the ARCmod06_offline...

Am I screwed somehow? Because I installed that previously in Chapter 2, Part 1, because it says:
"Downgrade to/Upgrade to/Install a version patched System Menu v4.1 (Optional, but Highly Recommended!!)"
Or am I still okay, since it's a completely different process, therefore safe?

I'm worried because whenever I try to exit to HBC (because you guys said DON'T restart) inside ARCmod06_offline by choosing "Exit to the Homebrew Channel", my wii crashed!
Although strangely enough, when I force shutdown and restarted my wii, it seems like everything is okay...
So... Did I changed my wii region correctly?

I tried re-doing Chapter 2 steps again, but still my wii still crash whenever I choose to exit to HBC in ARCmod06_offline...

Oh yeah btw, afterwards, I continued with installing priiloader with no problem, but this thing still bothers me...

    Problem with channels

I've just updated my Softmod following this guide steps but the loaders channels are not working. When I open the loaders (GX, CFG, Wiifolw) inside HBC they work well, but when I try to use the channel on main menu to access them it gets back to main menu.

Also, I've installed WiiMC but could not install it as a channel. I get an error message sayin I need IOS 58 (which was installed along with the pack) and reinstall HBC.

How can I fix these two issues?

    Hi,

I followed the guide word to word, softmodded my wii and it is working excellent.

Right now I have to have the SD card inserted for me to run the neogamma and other loader channels.

How do i go about having the channels run without the need forthe SD card.

At a moment HBC want to update to a new version, and I accepted:1.1.0 I suppose.
Part 3 of the guide, related to no update make me problems because of the fact that after hold reset I enter in the screen with system menu, etc, BUT when I press A for entering in the options and block the update, wii is going to Main Menu.
After softmode wii is 4.1e, the homebrew channel is empty and nothing to do
As a result, when I try to play the original disc Wii Sport] resort, a message say that I need to update the system, otherwise is not possibleto play. Also, the original disc cannot be played in Neogamma.
Also if I try to play from usb, and launch the usb loader, the wii returns to main menu

    Please help...
You have to go down to "System Menu Hacks", not just "System Menu". Also, the hacks_hash.ini file must be in the priiloader folder.

Are you using a compatible sd card? Try formatting the sd card using the panasonic formatter.

Sounds like you missed installing IOS58. If you are sure you did, reinstall the HBC to get it to run on IOS58. If you launch the HBC and press the Home button it will tell you what it is running on in the upper right corner.

You can run them from a fat32 usb drive by copying the contents of your sd card directly to the HDD.

    Thank you cjizzle!!!

I'll try to reinstall HBC. But what about the loaders channels that are not working? Will this solve this problem as well?

sounds like your forwarder channel might be out of date. reinstall the channel / forwarder and see if that solves the issue.

I followed the guide, and everything seemed to work correctly. (Thanks by the way, very easy to follow). I tried loading a backup through Neogamma (both from the channel, and through homebrew). No matter what backup I put in (even ones that play through the official Wii disc channel, I also have a Drivekey) it resets the drive, says no patch found, and gives me a 'DVD Err(00000000), Read TOC' error. It's a 2007 drive. Any ideas?

Do a syscheck and ensure ios249 is properly installed.
