Thanks in advance. I really want to get through this soft modding guide and be able to utilize the full potential of my wii.
If the problem is u'r remote then u might want to buy or borrow a older remote...

    From the guide:

NOTE: !!! Some newer Wii Remotes DO NOT work with all Homebrew Software !!!
If your Wii Remote was purchased after November 2011, there is a chance that it may not be compatible with all Homebrew Software until patches are released. ALL OLDER Wii remotes work fine!
Check the List of Working/Non-Working Wii Remotes for the latest updates. - Thanks to TheInfamousTheft for the list

    From the guide:
What if I skip installing priiloader?

I have almost fresh batteries in my wiimote. Thanks for trying to help me resolve this issue.
But I guess I'll need to go buy a older wiimote or something. ):

U probably should get one at BestBuy or somewhere with a good 30 day return policy... Like the Smash Game + Remote Plus combo... Make sure it's the same color as ur's.. If u'r remote is still giving u problems... Then u can choose to return ur's & keep the other one... U'r choice...

You can finish the mod and do priiloader later. Just don't do anything that may result in the need of it!
If you want to get an older wiimote go to gamestop or another place that sells used stuff.

Sent with WiiHacks app, that should explain any typos 8-p

My wiimote is new though, 3 days to be exact.
It came with my mario bros bundle

I could do that but wouldn't I be risking a chance to get my Wii bricked ?
Or do you think I should just proceed with doing it later on. BTW do most homebrew apps not need it ?

That's why u'r remote doesn't work... Some of the older Wii Modding Programs are not fully compatible with the new Wii remotes... Eventually they will be.. But not sure when... U need a older remotes like used ones or new ones that are sold alone or with games... Those should be older enough to fully work with Wii Mod Programs...

Only if u let it update from Nintendo... Make sure u always turn down any option to update the Wii...

If you just finish the mod and don't get crazy like add things you "think" are safe, you should be fine. Updates are your enemy too, be sure not to accept one. Get priiloader in there ASAP.
    Homebrew apps don't need priiloader.
