Well I could be totally wrong here, but my end game was to set autoboot to 'System menu' thus allowing access to all normal functionality, channels etc from a cold startup.

Setting return to 'Installed file' with the thought that when I play a game from my chosen USB loader and then want to play another game it will exit back to the USB loader app instead of the system menu.

Hope that kind of makes sense....? lol

Basically I want easy access to the system menu and be able to play different games without having to keep restarting the USB loader app.

I cant speak for all loaders, but In configurable usb loader there is a return to parameter (return_to_channel = xxxx) where you can specify a title ID (presumably the title ID of your forwarder) to return to. This will do exactly what you're looking for.

I have found a way to do it using WiiFlow...

There is a setting that allows you to exit to a channel, all I needed to do was select WiiFlow!

I could not see how to do what you suggested above, I am guessing I need to manually enter the config file for the Configurable USB Loader app, as there is no obvious setting in the GUI.

Anyway very happy, I have everything I need/want... for now at least! lol

    Thank you for your assistance.

hi, i have modded my wii a few months back with mauifrog's guide before it was moved to this one. and i have been trying to install wiiflow in order to play a few games that were not working with configurable usb loader. but after a few days of searching this site, it seems this would be the safest way to install it for a total noob like me.
well the point of my reply is to ask,

how do i know if i have a nand backup? i know i have HBC 1.08 running on ios58, and bootmii. but i dont recall there being a nand backup, and i have absolutely no idea what it is. simply is it ok to do the update from steps 2 and 3? thanks for your patience and any advice given my way.

If you follow the guide step by step you will make a nand backup. Do not skip any of the steps. Read it and understand it and you should have no problems.

What SD card are you using? Ar you sure you used the correct MAC address? You might try re-formatting following the instructions in the FAT32 guide (link in my sig).
