I'm a newb.... I recently loaned out my WII to my niece and she had to return it because usbloader gx started giving an error message that it needed an unstubbed ios 222 or 249. I'm not real sure what happened but I think that it was a diskupdate that caused this. I guess that I accidentally did not disable that in priiloader. I did have a nand backup but bootmii would hang. Homebrew still worked. I didn't quite know what to do so I did a wii system format and followed this guide to a 'T'. No problems encountered whatsoever (well except that I can't get the 'shopping channel' to work- even with the update, etc).

It did turn my system 4.2u into a 4.1. If anything, though, it now works better than it ever has before. WiiMC used to take forever to load videos or fast forward- now it's lightning quick. Youtube used to be sluggish- now it works like a charm. I never could get DVD's to play before- now they play beautiful with mplayer. Wiiradio used to buggy- now it's just fine. I had problems with snes9x and genplus not finding my usb harddirve or sd card before- now they work like a charm. I'm sure some of those issues were because of having older software versions than what I have now, but all-in-all my wii now works better than it ever has before. In a way I'm kind of glad this happened. So I just wanted say thanks for this guide and to give a success story.

On the Wii main screen click on the Wii round logo.....

Wii option>Data Management>Channels. Click on the channel you want to delete and do it. This is the easy way. The hard(er) way is to use MMM or WAD Manager and delete the channel if it is one that exists in .wad format in your wad folder on your SD card. If not, go with option #1.
thanx painless.....i have another problem i followed everything and everything seemed to work good,i unplugged the wii and put it in another room and now every-time i click on neogamma, wiiflow or usb loader it resets the wii back to the main menu.how do i fix this?

Put the sd card back in the Wii. Those channels forward to apps on the sd card.

Then none of your loaders are going to work. Just re-download the app pack in this guide and put the contents on an sd card. Alternatively if you are usb loading you can put the contents of the app pack on a fat32 partition and they will load from there.

You could install all the apps as channels if they are available, but you wouldn't be able to save any settings. Do yourself a favor and use an sd card. You can get them for less than $5 on fleabay...

CIOS-PACK-V6.zip is giving CRC errors, I tried re-downloading but it still gives CRC errors, can anyone give a link to an undamaged v6 cios pack?
