Sounds like your HDD is formatted incorrectly or isn't compatible. Did you follow the instructions in the FAT32 guide on setting it up? Is your drive on the Compatibility List?

I don't think my HDD is formatted incorrectly.. I did use Windows formatter though, since the software in the FAT32 guide was more tailored to hard drives.

I had it at NTFS originally and now I have it at FAT32. Tried to load games via Wii Backup Manager and Wii Game Manager and nothing.

My USB Stick (kingston datatraveler 8GB) is also on the compatibility list.

You should probably follow the guide's instructions using EaseUS. It applies to all drives.

Heh, already tried it.. For some reason doesn't let me delete the partition data on my USB and turn it to unallocated.

Will a factory reset of the Wii do the job of resetting everything if I choose to?

If you are referring to formatting your system, that will do nothing for you other than removing your channels and save data - it does not change the core of what the mod did to your Wii. That being said, the mod itself has nothing to do with your problem. Try formatting your drive to FAT32 or NTFS again with EaseUS, making sure the partition you are formatting is set to primary and active.

I just did this and no success.

Also tried to burn a disc and load with Neogamma and the same result.

Thinking that something went wrong with the mod.

Maybe I should undo the softmod and redo everything again?

I have a question about "Chapter 2". I've already downloaded and unzipped the modpack, cIOS pack (v6), and the Shop Channel update. Now I'm going through, double-checking the files on my SD card against the list of files presented there, and I'm noticing some discrepancies:

    1) The list says I should have "USBLoaderCFG.dol", but it didn't come in any of the modpacks. Do I need this right now? Where should I get it?

    2) The list says I should have "
cIOS245[37]-d2x-v7-final.wad". The file that came in the packs is "cIOS245[37]-v7.wad". The same is true for cIOS 246, 247, 248, 249, 250, and 251. Are these okay to have? (I assume it's just a different name structure, and not actually a different file, but wanted to check.)

Everything else is fine, so I just need to double-check these before I can move on with my mod process. Thanks for any help!
