Can I ask a stupid question: Im going through one of the guides now, and I have baked up my wiis nand after installing homebrew.

Rather than then go through all the other rigmarole of patching this that and the other, would it be somehow possible to simply download someone elses nand backup (who already has a perfect patched console) and write that to your console using a modified version of bootmii? Like, If each persons console has some unique identifier, read that identier(s), modify the saved nand backup you downlaoded from the net, then write that to your nand?

suppose you would have to produce a bunch of slighty different pre-patched nand backups for different versions of console maybe...

Guess you would also loose your miis and saved game info and whatnot. Personally I couldnt care less about that, some might though.

You need a standard 1-2g sd card to complete this guide.

Another way to install Indiana PWNS is by copying the save file of your region from your SD Card over to your Wii system via the Data Management.
I'm on 4.2 and everything had been working fine until step 8. I'll look into the other method you mentioned; it's not necessary to have the actual game to use this method, is it?

I'll see if I can get my hands on a 1-2GB card.

I'll sound like a noob here, but what is the difference between a nand backup and a normal backup?

    Thanks mauifrog,

Using a 2GB SD card did the trick to install Indiana PWNS.

I'm a noob here, just bought already softmodded wii two days ago,

it's korean wii..It has Neogamma R9, Homebrew Channel, with version 4.1U. In Neogamma, the cIOS version is 249.

Can I safely follow mauifrog's tutorial for korean wii from the start ? or I have to skip some steps? because I really want to install brick prevention which is not already installed in my wii's. (Bootmii, priiloader, indiana pwns). I don't want to rush.. I never did it before.

    Thanks before

This guide is written to be compatible with all wiis, even korean ones.
