Hello. I have been trying to softmod my wii for several hours now and I got stuck at chapter 2. The thing is that for some reason my wii won't load the Multi-Mod Manager. Because boot doesn't work from bootmii, I tried to run it straightly in HBC. Unfortunately it just gives me a black screen for 1-2 seconds and jumps into bootmii menu after that. I tried installing a recent version of it instead, and although it entered MMM now, it gives me a -2011 error for all wad files when I try to install them. This probably means that I need the right version of MMM.
Could anyone give me any advice how to get the MMM working?

Oh, and my Wii is currently 4.1U.

    Hello,
Excuse me if this is a dumb question, but I've been searching the forums and haven't found a clear answer.
For many reasons, mainly the exclusive wiiware titles, I want to change my 4.3U wii to a Japanese region wii.
Let's say I do this following this guide, would I still be able to load my original retail US games from the disc channel?
Thanks in advance for your guidance.

I am in step 1 of the softmod guide, wii is frozen.

    I just finished this step.

    Part 1- Wad Installs
NOTE: If a wad fails to install, try to install that wad again. If the
wad still fails, press B to go back to the main menu, select reload ios, reload ios236, then try to
install the wad that is giving you trouble again. DO NOT PROCEED TO THE NEXT STEP UNTIL
    ALL WADS INSTALL

Start HBC, press [HOME], Launch Bootmii
    Multi-Mod Manager Starts (via cboot2)

Never Uninstall IOS, or SM you will brick your wii
Never Uninstall IOS, or SM you will brick your wii

Select "WAD Manager" - Press A
Press (1) to "Install all Wads" - Press A
28 wads should install without error
    "Press any button to continue

Now, it won't respond when I press any key.

Is it ok to power off, or what do I need to do?

Ok all good, I just needed to plug in a game cube controller. Next thing, I am on step 3:

    Priiloader 0.7 Installer will load

Mine says 0.3 is this a problem?

Don't take my word for it, but I think so.
Firstly, you can change the region of your Wii with this guide. Hence the part where it says "Download the modpack for the region of your wii, or the region you wish your wii to be when your done. " Secondly, I know there are some mods which make your Wii basically region-free. One of such mods is Neogamma. It lets you play games that are for a different system than your Wii. Just make sure your TV supports the game's system. As far as I know, there may also be some bugs with different system games, such as a slower frame rate or cropped image size.
Although I am not 100% sure of the possibility that you will be able to do so, I still hope this helped somehow.

Once everything is done, is there a way to move around the little menu screens on the system menu? My homebrew icon is on page two, I'd like it on page 1.

    Chapter 2 Part 3.

After installing the WADS. I tried to exit MMM, but when I clicked the home button (the exit button) it would just start MMM again. If I leave my SD card in and restart the Wii, it would boot to MMM. This has happened to me on 2 Wii's already. How do I get to Chapter 2 Part 3? ... ALSO, I have tried to install priiloader by removing the SD card and booting the wii and going into HBC, then inserting the SD card back in. But even when priiloader has been installed, it would not fix the Wii from booting to MMM while the SD card is inside. How do I fix this?/

I didnt look through the thread but odgriffin is rarely mistaken, you must have already asked and not been patient enough to wait and asked again.

Anyhow.....yes you can. B +A will grab the channels and allow you to move them.

Sent with WiiHacks app, that should explain any typos 8-p
