Good Luck. Just take your time and make sure all wads install without error.
Also remember there is a app pack at the end of the guide which is the key to getting the loaders etc working

Thanks to the writer of this guide! I've recently softmodded my new 4.3 Wii. However, I don't like the Neogamma and USB Loader apps that were installed somewhere along the line - is there a way to remove them (or at least remove the channels)? They're not on my SD card.

    Thanks!

If you look through the files that you downloaded for the mod you should find neo-gamma wad and usb loader .wad . Put those on your sd card in the wad folder and then uninstall them using mmm.... You need at least one usb loader to play your games.... Otherwise it defeats the object of modding lol

Good call. I didn't notice that there was alternate links..
    B worked for me.

My buddy told me to use pimpmywii instead...

    Anybody use this before?
    Suppose to be idiot proof

    Thanks

Thanks, I'll try that later. The only reason I modded my Wii was as a media player (WiiMC) and emulator (SNES and GBA). However, I might end up using a loader anyway

Another question, sometimes (particularly when using Channel installers) the Wii freezes onto a black screen with loads of code, and some kind of error. Could this be due to my SD card? I'm just using a 2GB SD (not SDHC), Verbatim I think.

Awesome narse1979 just finished everything went great! followed the guide to the letter read it about 5 times lol
then went through it step by step everything is done now and thanks to this guide and the guide creator it helped and took
a lot of the confussion out of it for me and probably a thausand other people.

Many thanks for making this place availble i do have 1 little question though i did ask it in another thread
but i'll pop it here, hopefully its a quick pointer

since i am only doing this to tinker and learn i see everything talking about loading the wads via a usb loader.
how would i just install 1 simple single homebrew game wad and play it quicky using the SD card? is this possible if so
a nudge in the right direction would be more appreciated.

i do have rawdump and learning about making a game file of something i bought and own but i'd rather tinker with games
already created (homebrew not commercial) just to test this new modded wii out.

Put the apps from the app pack in the apps folder on your SD card.
