    SD card not detected

    Good day,

I have a Wii with system software v3.1u. I'm trying to load Hackmii and HBC using Bannerbomb. For some reason my Wii isn't seeing the files on my SD card. It's a 2Gig non SDHC that I formatted at Fat32. I downloaded the recommended files and followed the first steps.
It's not booting from the SD card nor can I use the manual load option.

A couple more details, I installed the wiikey a while back but removed it. "figured it was useless anyways."

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try a different sd card, not sdhc. 1-2gb. Hackmii can be very picky with what kind of sd card you use.

Well, I would firstly recommend updating to 4.1 (which is easy to softmod and has all the features of 4.2 and 4.3).

Then follow mauifrog's guide (I'll try to post a link later) to softmod your wii.

    This should yield better results.

Dude, did you even read his post? He said 2GB NON-SDHC.

Yeah, sorry I missed that. But don't double post, you can use the edit button. DUDE!

Lol, and it looks like you didn't read his post very good either. I don't think he needs a link to the guide he is posting in.

@Mobstar - Make sure you try all the alternate BBv1 files-B, C, D, E- If the boot.dol does not load.

hmm just looking now i dont know if you've noticed but in that version 5 IOS pack you have on your guide
it says to check the md5 of the following files

    sd:\IOS Update.md5

This file is missing from that v5 pack i am halting the softmod until i can get some confirmation what to do next?
i have re-downloaded the pack several times and viewed them with 3 different archive viewers this clearly is not available.

    what to do now?

Edit: Guessing this file is the optional file when it says about if your running 4.3 you don't need this?
can i get some confirmation please this update.md5 file is not meant to be in the IOS v5 pack please?

If you are on 4.3 then you have already got the ios's on your wii. So you can skip installing those.... It's for users with lower sm...
