first of all, before i softmoded the wii, i didn't have any account linked on my wii shop.

I'm done with softmod! yay! neo gamma works, just need to buy compatible hard disk to try usb games..

    1. My problem is whenever clicking the shop channel, i get this error: 205958 before that it says something like: "Your previous region shop channel was ..." because of the error i cannot use shop channel.

i have 4.3e and i changed the region to U

    2. Can i still follow this guide to watch movies from external hdd
    http://www.wiihacks.com/homebrew/20024-recommended-play-dvds-your-wii-mplayer-ce-dvdx.html

also do i need to install a USB 2.0 cIOS ?

WiiMC is the media player of choice. DVDX is basically obsolete.

You could get an infraction for this. The password is in the guide. Read.

    Step 2 - hangs

    Here's is where i got stuck. (4.3e)

Letterbombed and installed Bootmii and backup my nand.

downloaded ModPack-PAL-E and CIOS-Pack and extracted to sd:\.

    Started HBC, Bootmii.... got stucked.

Then I looked at bootmii folder from ModPack and bootmii folder in my "nand backup". Files are the same name bit different sizes and bootmii.ini are different (diff content). So I copied bootmii folder from my "nand backup folder" to sd:\ (overwrite), and then my Wii loads Bootmii.

The thing is that now I don't have MMM, priiloader won't start,...anyhow, i got stucked at start of part 2.

Why my wii won't bootmii with files from modpack***.?
And I assume that I don't have MMM 'cos i copied my bootmii from "nand backup folder"?

    Or?

    Tnx in advance...

Completed Chapter2 part1 no bother, All wads installed OK. At the very end of this part I launch homebrew channel, the homebrew channel loads BUT it is upside down! Help please!

Can anybody help? I'm half way through the guide and don't know whether I should hold on or just carry on with rest of guide but my homebrew channel is upside down!!

btw after following this guide, do i already have the usb loader? I can already see a usb loader channel on my system menu, does that mean it's already installed and i only need to put an external hdd and follow this guide:

What I highlighted in red above is where you failed. Go back and start Chapter 2 over again, following the instructions precisely as written.

You already have cIOS that supports usb 2.0 if you followed this guide. And to your second question, yes you actually have 2 different USB Loaders, WiiFlow and CFG. Follow the guide you linked to in order to properly format your usb drive.

Rerun the hackmii installer and reinstall the Homebrew Channel.

Great thanks! I just want to make sure..from this thread:
    http://www.wiihacks.com/homebrew/20024-recommended-play-dvds-your-wii-mplayer-ce-dvdx.html

    I
will have to download this: MPlayer CE 0.75 right?

    1. so i need to take out my sd card and paste the files there,
open hbc and load it. correct?

    2. i want to have a channel so i need to install this: MPlayer CE Forwarder channel right?
it says: Install with wad manager, links to .dol on sd card so don't rename folder. but i'm not quite sure how to, i'm thinking I need to go to hackmii?

    3. I'll only be playing movies through usb not dvd so i don't need this:
    DVDX Installer right?

    4. do i need the following:
MPlayer CE cIOS Installer & MPlayer - AgentX Mod Channel ?

thank you so much for taking the time to clarify
