On another note, could I get some USB Loader recommendations? What is your favorite one?
Updating will make sure all the newest games will work. But if you don't have any problems, feel free to leave it alone if you want. As for USB loaders, my favorite is WiiFlow.

I followed all steps and it was perfectly matched with the guide until step 3. After system menu hacks, I formatted my sd-card again and extracted app-pack2 into card and then plugged it into wii. I can see usb-loader, Neo-Gamma R9, backup HBC and HBC channels on system menu. But when I click the usb channel it says: "put a usb disk or something like that" and when click to start it just goes to system menu again. I can't see any app when I open the HBC channel, just blank HBC channel screen that i see. (but i saw apps on it in step 2) I tried to install Usbloader_Gx from it's own easy installer but when I plug the card into wii, the hbc showed me nothing to install again. It's wierd that I haven't had any problem on earlier steps but step 3.am I missing something there, any idea?

    Thanks in advance.
Ok I figured out that it was arisen from the sd-card that I used to. Suprisingly I hadn't had any problem during mod installation steps. Card (Amco micro sd 2 GB with sd adapter) did its job until using apps into homebrew channel then messed up. I tried to copy everything from Amco to my Toshiba 4GB SDHC Class4 and it works well now. I wrote this for users to struggle with problem like this. So changing sd-cards solved the problem.

Now I have a new question.

    1) How can I use usbloader-gx as a system menu channel? I don't want to go homebrew channel everytime to launch usbloader-gx.
    2) Is it safe to delete channels that was installed on step 2 (eg:neogama channel) from system menu? And how can I do that ?

    Thanks in advance.

    All ready softmodded

Hi, I aleady have my wii softmodded with homebrew channel installed. Where do I start and finish with this guide? In chap1 part 1 there is a spoiler drop down named "softmods with homebrew channel already installed" It then says "If you already have a softmod with HBC installed, you can update your softmod with this guide". Does that mean this whole guide or just this little guide in the spoiler? Cheers

    1) You can use the USB Loader Channel that was installed with this guide. Or you can grab the latest official GX forwarder from here.
    2) Yes it is. You can do that with the WAD that you used to install it with (open up MMM or other WAD managing tool, navigate to said WAD, and uninstall it). Through AnyTitle Deleter (load ATD, go to Installed Channel Titles, and uninstall the ones you don't want). Or just through the Wii settings the way you uninstall any other channel, although this will leave residual files that take up precious NAND space.

    All USB Loaders works once

First let me say thank you for aguide that is easy to follow and understand. You’ve done and awesome job here.
    Ok, Here is my problem
I took my time here as I am new to this so everyone speakEnglish please
I followed the guide to the letter. All installs and all testswent through with no errors.
I went into all of the included USB loaders just to pick a favorite and althoughthere were a few issues with certain games “Black opps” being one with USBLoaderGX, All of them worked great. I can go out to the main menu, even restartmy Wii and they all still work fine. BUT, as soon as I shut off my Wii and turnit back on all loaders just get hung at the splash screen. Now this is what’sweird. Out of desperation I loaded the Backup HBC included in the App pack andall of the loaders work fine through there. Furthermore, once I load it one timethrough the back up HBC they will work again through the regular HBC andForwarders Until I shut my Wii off then I have to go into the backup HBC again.I know what your all thinking “just play it through the Back up HBC” And I could,In fact I am but I would still like to resolve this problem if I could. Thanksin advance for any help.

    Hi Guys,

Picked up a Wii for the kids this christmas. Pre-empted the purchase by getting a few games in the states when I was there.

Just been through the guide and everything (including the USA games) is working great.

Many Thanks for a simple to follow guide .

I now want to setup the console so on boot, I get the options of playing games from a USB drive (so the kids don't kill the discs) & stream movies from my NAS (DVD Format not avi's). Is there a single app that I can configure to autoload on boot? I want it as simple to use as possible !!

Thanks again for the guide and thanks in advance for any recommendations.

None that I know of. Your best bet for streaming movies over your network would probably be WiiMC.
