I'm going to be soft modding a Korean Wii using this guide pretty soon. I want to reduce as many risks as possible, and since I know a little Korean and wanted to still be able to play my Korean disks I was thinking about skipping the region change and just leaving my Wii 4.3K.

If I do this will I still be able to play US games from the hddloader? Is there anything else I'd be missing by not switching to 4.3U?

I try to understand exactly what I need to do before start to softmode a 3.4e wii, but there are things not quite clear to me.I think that I can't start until the whole procedure is clear. So any help is really apreciated.

    A:
    „+3.0 Download MMM-58-61-Hackmii_0.8_BB1.zip, Extract file to sd:\
alternate BBv1 files-B, C, D, E- If the boot.dol does not load, try these, just extract to sd:\.
I suppose that after extract the MMM do sd:\ I should put the sd in wii and then what? I should wait for the boot.dol to automatically start?

    B:
    Hackmii Installer Loads
„Part 2- Install The HomeBrew Channel and Bootmii
Read the Scam warning and press 1”
So after the Part 1 is completed, Part 2 will automatically start because of Hackmii Installer Loads?

    C:
„Install Bootmii as Boot2(boot2 may not be available, IOS installs automatically)”
So, after „Install the HomeBrew Channel” how do I choose to follow this.

    D:
    „Prepare the SD-card
If Step1 fails with error "no vulnerable ios", DO THIS”
So, I suppose that after „Install the HBC” I should off the wii, take the sd out....
Which is step1 in this discussion?

    E:
„Part 3- Make A NAND Backup (NOT Optional, do this,)
Press Power, Power, Power, Reset, Reset (or use gc-controller)
Power = Right, Eject = Left, Reset = Select”
These press should be on wii remote? By Right Left you mean on thecross button above A? Where is „Select” on remote”?

    F:
„ Once the backup is complete, exit bootmii to HBC”
Backup your Bootmii files to your PC
    sd:\bootmii
    sd:\nand.bin
    sd:\key.bin
So I off the wii, take put the sd card and copy to PC?

    G:
„ If you want to load bootmii again at a later date, copy the bootmii folder back to sd:\ „
To be more clear : copy the folder or the folder content on sd:\?

    H:
„You should have th se files on sd:\ „
After unziping the downloaded files, some of them still have some zip, or folders .So is necessary to unzip all the sub-zipp file and take out the files from the folders, to have all of them on sd:\ ?

Yes, put the sd card in your wii. Read the next line in the guide...

B,C,D - Just do what the guide says, you will see what it is talking about when you run the hackmii installer.

E - No, use the buttons on the wii console, it that particular order - Power button moves right, eject moves left, Reset selects

    F - Yes

G - Copy the folder with it's contents (how are you going to copy the folder over without anything in it ....?..?)

H - There are no sub-zipped files. Leave the folders as they are.

I - I think you are over complicating this.... just follow the directions and you will be fine

I was able to accomplish the tutorial to the end successfully. Thank you very much.

But there is some questions left: my wii downgraded from 4.2u to 4.1u. Is this normal? I followed this tutorial so I could play recently launched games (read Zelda Skyward Sword) without losing HBC (which I'll need to play it - it is japanese).

Also, in priiloader I enabled "Region Free Wii Games", but my japanese games won't load in Disk Channel (I can load them in Gecko, but I could do it as well before). That being said, was I successful in enabling it? If I was, what did it change then?

One last question. I enabled "Block Disk Updates". If in the near future nintendo launches new updates, can I buy games which need such updates and play them normaly (withot updating)?

    Thank you.

1.Yes it is nromal, It's there to offer more protection against Updating.(It's Maxed Out4.1u 54449)You could haave skipped that part if you didn't want that system menu."It's worth keeping!"

2.Did you set your loader To Force Video to you Region.

3.Of course you can , Games are not System Dependent.Plus priiloader Blocks it.Your Safe if everything is set up right.

Read the Guide again so you know whats in there.

The first question was a stupid one, sorry. Or better, baddly structured (very baddly). I meant to ask if it was ok, not normal (bad english, sorry).
But I won't deny I blindly followed the guide. There was no help but doing it.

But by "2.Did you set your loader To Force Video to you Region.", what do you mean? I didn't see this option in priiloader menu (neither in System Menu Hacks). Do I have to download something else?

Just to ensure I'm not being misunderstanded, I don't plan to change region, since I have american games as well.

    Thank you all.

No. I was referring to Usb loader Settings or The Neogamma Settings. If Needed.

No need to change region's, everything is region free.

There is also A Guide For that Game.....Link Here--->Skyward Sword Guide

Oh, no, no. I meant the Disk Channel. Like, THE Disk Channel? The one you can move after you do the tutorial, but not before? Because I could run japanese games, with Gecko before. And I still can do it. And now I can do it as well with neogamma, no problems here.
But I wanted to know what the priiloder's System Menu Hacks "Region Free Wii Games" option did when enabled, since it didn't change anything with the Disk Channel. Do you know what it does?

Just out of curiosity: is it even possible to run other regions games through Disk Channel without changing regions?

    Thank you.
