There will be an option in the screen to prepare the SD card. Select it and you'll be good to go. And yes leave the SD card in.

Am I supposed to literally press the Power Button on the Wii console 3 times, and then the Reset Button 2 times? Or will there be buttons on the screen to press? It seems strange to press the power button while I'm fiddling with the guts of the Wii, it makes me nervous!

    I don't have a GC controller (GameCube?) - do I need one?.
Yes, you literally press those buttons. It seems odd, but it does work (I've done it myself). Just don't hold the buttons down and you'll be fine. It it makes you feel better, go out and but a cheap GC (GameCube) controller and use that.

For your first question, just format the SD card with your PC via a SD card reader.
Right click on the SD card, then click Format, and format the card to Fat32.
Do the full format, not the quick one.

For your second question, yes, you literally have to press the power, eject, and reset buttons.
But don't hold the power button down, otherwise the wii will turn off. Just press it.

A few questions. I followed mauis other guide and have done all this before. Now, I'm going to update and do steps 2 and 3 again. Do I NEED to do priiloader all over again? and would I need the IOS update now, even though I have 4.3u still? o_o Also, because I'm updating do I need to uninstall the mothballed channels first?

Priiloader has been updated (to 0.7), so it's highly recommended that you update it (you can also update directly from Priiloader). You do not need to do the IOS update if you're on 4.3. You already have them. However, you do need to do the cIOS update. As for the mothballed channels, you can remove them either before or after the update (or not at all if you wish). You could also remove them from the Wii settings just like any other channel.

    IOS245- d2x7 final base 55
    IOS246- d2x7 final base 53
    IOS247- d2x7 final base 37
    IOS248- d2x7 final base 56
    IOS249- d2x7 final base 38
    IOS250- d2x7 final base 57

Have you extracted directly to teh root of the sd:/???

If not, you have to do it. If you have only one folder on the sd:/, well, there's your problem.
