Alright, Since this is already modded, do i still need to do something or would this guide just overwrite the previous softmod?

    mauiforg,

I can't re-install the HBC; it's inverted and I would like to put it back to normal.

I get an error message that says: "This installer can NOT continue! There are no know vulnerable IOS installed on the Wii. Please note that we will not use a fakesigned IOS due to security reasons....."

It proceeds to tell me to look for an updated version, but I am already using v0.6.

What can I do to re-install the HBC?

Load dop-mii, reinstall ios34 without patches. Then run the hackmii installer

This guide will reinstall everything, you don't need to do anything prior.

Hi, me again. sorry - just noticed there is another 4.2 update guide on this site that appears (to my untrained eye at least) to have some different steps in the middle

Whats the essential difference, is yours in someway better or safer or something?

They both work. My guide has some additional preemptive brick recovery methods in place that other guides do not. Take your pick, there are actually two other guides for 4.2.

I am having trouble with step 8. I am trying to install Indiana_PWNS-PAL and Indiana_PWNS-USA. When I try to restore I get a message that says:

"Filename A:/ is not long enough to have a .rbk suffix" I'm not quite sure what is going on there. Is it because I am using a 4GB SDHC card?

If you are at firmware <3.4 then the SDHC Card could be your problem. If you are at firmware 4.0> then I don't know what it could be.

Another way to install Indiana PWNS is by copying the save file of your region from your SD Card over to your Wii system via the Data Management.
