I have tried loading my games with every IOS in the boot options an they all seem to have issues. Is there anything else I could try?

In the original guide I followed I installed

I0S36 (v3351) w/FakeSign using DOP-MII to bring back the Trucha Bug
Then did a network installation of IOS36 using cIOS
Loaded USB Load GX onto my sd card and all my games worked with no issues

I followed this guide from the already have homebrew installed phase. All of my WAD files installed with no issues and the games launch, but crash soon after.

    Please help me fix this.

my head hurts from trying to figure out why my mario kart and super mario bros will not work after following this guide. I was getting help last night, but have not heard anything since. Does anyone have any ideas?

Had a softmodded wii that worked fine playing these games using GTX Loader
Followed the softmod any wii guide to update my softmod and the games freeze after launch since doing this

Other games launch and did not freeze while playing for 10-20 minutes... haven't played much longer because I really want to get mario kart and super mario bros working first.

I saw on another forum that D2X v7 is out, would it be OK just to install straight over this as I think this guide uses v6.

Anyway according to the comments of some it's stable but if I were to experience any problems could I install v6 back over it?

    Thanks

I'd go with d2xv6 as this is confirmed working for most games and people have had issues with alpha 7...

Ah OK, think I'll play it safe then & stick with v6 from this guide.

The ones I got all had -v7b1d at the end of each WAD IOS, maybe beta?

Never mind though as I said I'll stick with v6, thanks

I read this excelent an extensive guide, but im having dificulty to understand all.

    In my console i have:

    3.2E system firmware
    1.01 Homebrew Channel (Ios36 4.18 )

Backup channel gamma ( i dont know what version)

Because is a 2008 model i still have acess in Disc channel. I bought the Wii recently and i have no clue what softmod i have installed.

I try to update HBC 1.01 to 1.08 and it give me errors like:

Part 2- Install The HomeBrew Channel and Bootmii
Read the Scam warning and press 1
It may take a minute or two for the "press 1" to appear- be patient
    Install the HomeBrew Channel
Install Bootmii as Boot2(boot2 may not be available, IOS installs automatically)
    Prepare the SD-card
If Step1 fails with error "no vulnerable ios", DO THIS
I try to get the file in "do this" But the link does not work. and i dont know the name of the file to download from folder archive.

Other question, for what i read this puts System Menu: in 4.1 right?

What do i need to put it with latest firmware? do i gaind anything or loose anything?I imagine a better game suport list.

after updating i need also to istal this:

Part 3- Install Priiloader (brick protection, you need this)
You should be in the Homebrew Channel
    Launch Priiloader
    Priiloader 0.6 Installer will load
    Read the warning-
    Press +/A to install
When finished the HBC should load.
Hold reset on the wii console, keep holding reset- priiloader will load
****If the wii freazes, hold the power down for 10sec.****
****Only install priiloader once, you need to hold reset to load priiloader****
If MMM loads at boot, delete sd:\bootmii from your sd card
Select "System Menu Hacks"- Press A
Enable any hacks you like. I suggest-
"Block Disk Updates", "Block Online Updates", "Remove Diagnostic Disc Check", "Move Disc Channel"
If you don't know what the hack does- you don't need it.
    Select Save settings -Press A
Press B to go back to the main priiloader screen
    select "load/install file"
    Install
    USBLoaderCFG.dol
Your wii should now block Disk updates and online updates, you can move the disc channel and if you like autoboot the usbloader.

NEVER UPDATE YOUR WII FROM NINTENDO- read the forum and do it yourself
    Optional priiloader settings-
You can set you wii to boot the system menu, HomeBrew Channel, Priiloader, USBloader, and any other app you wish. Settings are found in priiloader, settings. Set the autoboot and return to what you like best.
Example: Set the autoboot and return to installed file, now your wii will autoboot to your USBloader - Excellent option for those with kids.

With this i prevent to acidently upadte from nintendo right?

Sorry about all this questions, im noob at this and softmod Wii is more complex that i imagine.

    Regards

Can any of the installation be done VIA USB? Or must it all be done through SD only?

Updating 4.2 to 4.3 (didn't do this tutorial before)

    Hello everybody!

My Wii specs: d2B chipset and WiiKey installed.

I was reading the Tutorial... which specifically I have one question.

Currently I have 4.2 in which I installed couple of months (years?) ago.

I only installed Homebrew channel and BootMii as boot2 ( didn't do anything else that describes in the tutorial)

I am going to follow all the Guide from Chapter 1 as recommended.

My question is... I want to go to 4.3 from 4.2... (and hence no updating from nintendo is the most recommended thing to do... I came across the question)

If you would like to update your wii ios- NOT needed for 4.3 wiis
    Download IOS Update.zip
    Extract to sd:\ -mirror
    Overwrite files if asked

If you would like to update the Wii Shop Channel-
    Download Wii_Shop_Channel-v20.zip
    Extract to sd:\ -mirror
    Overwrite files if asked
    More channels to be added

If I want to update to 4.3 and update the Wii shop channel this would do the trick without any problems?
Is there another update from Nintendo that I will be missing?
And... Any recommendation Why I should stay on 4.2 and not go to 4.3?

I want the ability to still play DVD games without any problems(since I have Wiikey and burned games) and also from USB hard drive. ( I have never played games using HardDrive... and now I want to play Donkey Kong Country Returns, Zelda, and newer games)

    Thanks for your help!
