I also got the latest WiiFlow 3.0 r417. All games except those that used to require an alt .dol file don't work on this release. I switched it with r416 and all was working great once more. Now note that I found out during the softmodding of two different Wii.

Test 1: 4.3u Wii, softmodded using SSBB Exploit. Everything went fine, used r416 WiiFlow, but it would occasionally freeze, give errors, and do strange things after coming back to the WiiFlow Menu from a game. It's my Wii so i didn't pay much attention to it. few extra seconds getting to the menu didn't hurt me.

Test 2: 4.1 Wii, was already softmodded, so i just upated the IOS and installed the rest of the WADs mentioned in the guide. It never froze, no problems, no strange things.

So I concluded that by updated the IOS from the guide, it somehow affected it. SO, i updated the IOS on my own Wii, that was originall 4.3u. As you know the guide mentions there's no need to update them. But from today, I found out it doesn't hurt to at least run the update for the IOS even if on 4.3u already.

    Hope this information helps others.

Hi, I did this mod on my Wii recently and while reading on another thread (BootMii (boot2) For Beginners) I realised I skipped a step here... At Chapter 1 - Part 2, where you install HBC and Bootmii, it then says "PREPARE THE SD CARD". I misinterpreted this part and didn't realised it was actualy one of the options in Bootmii and skipped it

Everything else went fine, I saved my NAND files and everything. What was that part of the mod actualy doing, can I or should I do it now or does it not matter anymore?

Hope I did't screw up too bad!?

    Thanks!

If you install bootmii the sd card is prepared automaticaly, it just makes the bootmii folder on the sd card, nothing else. If you have your nand.bin your are fine, keep it safe.

On a Wii, CIOSCORP is already installed and I want to use this guide. All IOSes will be updated but some used by Cioscorp will remain.

Therefore I beleive it is better to uninstall CIOSCORP and then proceed with this guide.

    Am I correct?

It's pretty much ALWAYS best to uninstall cIOSCORP. http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...i-console.html Obviously, in this case, you didn't.

Edited in light of Blu's post below. No need to remove it. Thanks Blu.

Actually this guide completely overwrites everything. You can run this guide without issue even with DARK installed, but DO choose ALL IOSes. Once this guide has been followed, do NOT attempt to remove CIOSCORP as it would be bad.

Once you follow this guide, pretty much everything you could want will be freshened. If you have doubts, do the guide, then post a syscheck (in the appropriate thread).-

You don't need to, buy you can. Only install the latest update, the d2x cios v6.

i feel stupid saying this but i can't even get passed the first step. I downloaded the zip file and extracted to my SD Card but nothing ever shows up under Data management, channels, SD.

I tried 2 different cards a 1gb and a 2gb formatted using windows as well as the sdformatting utility. every time i go to channels its just blank squares. what am i doing wrong.

    my firmware is 3.2U

    thanks
