I followed everything in the guide. Tried loading the ios file for zelda, i forget which ones, 249 or something like that and 250 should work. i also tried some other ones. when i try to load the IOS files they load, then when i try to go back to the wii menu, it shows little scribbly lines and resets the wii and goes back to the default ios it's on. i've tried redownloading and replacing the IOS's multiple times, what could be the issue? I am trying to get skyward sword to work. i also tried the new neogamma and followed that little guide, that didn't work either =/

This is because like I stated before, the OP (guide author) instructs you to format your SD card before the last step, thus removing your bootmii and MMM. You'll need to re-install bootmii or get a WAD Manager (if that's why you're trying to launch bootmii).

Sorry, still thankful for the tutorial. But I just picked up a Wii again for Skyward Sword, and these modding tutorials aren't as good as they used to be. Reverting back to 4.1 is another example, here...

Bootmii as used in this guide is simply for creating and restoring a backup of your nand (only restore if it is installed as boot2).

And "aren't as good as they used to be"? 4.1 was the last system menu that supported region free games. If you have a wii that can play backup discs then that is the system menu you should be on. 4.2 and 4.3 were made specifically to kill homebrew and offer no additional features.

Wasn't aware of the 4.1 vs 4.2-3 thing. Thanks for clearing that up. Adding WAD Manager to the final App Pack would probably avoid a lot of confusion for those who have to follow the tutorial word for word. I was able to get around the problem because I have at least a little knowledge of what I'm doing.
