Did I address what you were getting at? Thanks again for your direction.
I was just recently educated in this and was told that Darkcorp install before or after the guide wont hurt a thing, but removal of darkcorp after the guide could be dangerous because of the patched system menu. If you are going to remove it, then remove it first before following this guide.

The only issue I have now is that usbloader won't play my wii sports backup. I get to the choose sport or resort screen then it kicks me out whichever one I choose.

    Any suggestions?

Thanks again for a great guide.

Ok I am updating a 4.2U softmoded system that needs up dating. I have homebrew etc... Can I skip the whole section bannerbomb etc? Also can I skip changing to 4.1 sytem menus and keep 4.2? Reason to change? Also - Is this installing d2x cIOS? thanks in advance I am a little rusty. When all this is done will my gamebackups still run off my usb drive?

Okay, so essentially, I could just follow the guide (more or less ignoring the fact that DarkCorp was installed) and this would bring my system IOSs up to the latest revisions? There is no risk of a brick?

I'm looking at your post as a reason to not bother removing DarkCorp - since it would be extra, unnecessary work. Is that an accurate understanding?

If you have darkcorp installed you have the latest revision of every ios. U would just need to update your cios with the cios pack. Then your Wii will be up to date and u can still play backups discs through the disc channel.

Just run the wii through the guide, forget about darkcorp the guide will remove it. The ios-update pack will remove most of the darkcorp ios, the others you don't need to worry about.

Thank you, Mauifrog. That is what I thought would occur ... just wanted to verify and play it safe. Your work and effort within this community is efficient, concise, informative, and extremely easy to follow. Thank you for sharing the knowledge that you have gained over the years with the rest of us.

I have updated to wiiflow 3.0 r417 and now I cannot get a forwarder channel to work. I can use HBC to load wiiflow and it works fine. When I try using the forwarder, it starts and then the screen goes black until i turn off the wii.
