Sounds to me like it is not reading your config. This happens when you have one on the SD and the HDD, so double check that. Also happens if you start Cfg without the drive plugged in, then plug it in during the timeout.

Be sure that you have a usb-loader folder on the root of the HDD or SD.
    Damn I suck!!!!

Not sure if that is related but I thought I'd mention it.

I accidentally posted this on the wrong thread earlier.

Well I find myself in need of advice again. I fixed the problem I was with USBloader cfg by changing the default IOS to anything other than 250. I also backed up my usb drive and reformatted it (WBFS). I used wii backup manager to reinstall my games but now if I have my drive plugged in and turned on when my wii boots it locks up. If I wait till it is at the home screen then turn on the HDD I have no problems. Any ideas?

I will will repeat what I told you in the other guide. This is not a valid question for this guide. Ask your question in the newbie section... This is a guide for softmoding only not configuring your hard drive or getting games to run.

    super noob

I am having a super hard time doing this as I have a japanese Wii - I am attempting the 4.3j Yu-Gi-Oh sd hack and have a question from the VERY start - when I am saving my profile to begin the process, am I saving it to SD or to my Gamecube style memory card?

Again, super noob - if things were in English I would probably feel the slightest bit more confident of what I was doing

    Thanks

Unhappy Exception (DSI) occurred while installing homebrew channel

    Hi,
I've just started softmodding my wii and ave been following the 4.3 softmod guide.
    wii version 4.3E, PAL, australia.
Ok, so I extracted Hackmii_0.8_IP_SS_BB2.zip to the SD card (SD 2GB) , installed to wii, started a game of indianna jones original, exit to wii menu wii settings, data managment, save, wii, SD.
There were 3 regions, and I used Europe, as when I tried JPn it said I had to play game first, but it was happy when I chose Europe. (I'm in Oz, so which one??)
Next went back and started saved game and went to art room and selected left character and chose switch option.
Program started and pressed "1" when appeared.
Did a test, said boot mii coduld not be installed, ios would be needed (something like that).
Pressed continue and selected install homebrew channel at next menu.
It started and then said "Exception (DSI) occurred!" followed by prorgam and stack dump.
    I checked the
ios36-fix suggested if somthing goes wrong but mentions nothing about 4.3 version.
I followed the guide but no joy, what do I do now?

    Regards,
    Kent.
