    Hello,
Got it that the password is case sensitive. I have put the password in as NOT-A-PIRATE and getting that the file is corrupt.

I meant if you're still using your original Dvd's after Softmodding then the purpose of softmodding is lost

I don't know anything about hard-mods and backups discs on the Wii, but using IMGBurn and Verbatim blank DVDs is the best you can get quality and compatibility wise.
Since you said it works on the hard-modded Wii, I would think that the discs are fine and that you can rule out bad image/bad disc/bad burner.

Sorry I can't be of much help.

EDIT: Just noticed you're using DVD+Rs, that might be why its having issues reading/detecting the discs. Have you tried using DVD-Rs?
Not sure if you've seen this or not, but I recommend reading it: http://www.wiihacks.com/dumping-burn...iso-files.html

When burning backups for any system, use -R discs. This is not optional, though some can play +R.
Rule of thumb/basic knowledge kinda thing.
Hmm. I do notice all the games I backed up are on DVD+R. Is it because the D2Ckey allows booting of DVD+R? can the softmod backup disc loader only read DVD-R? Thanks.

Thanks for the guide mauifrog and thanks again for the help narse.

My second Wii is all done now, and I have one issue left to deal with.

My HDD has been formatted with WBFS Manager, and will not work with the USB loader in this pack. Should I re-format it to FAT32 and reload my back-ups, or should I keep it as it is and add USB Loader GX to the Wii?

It's probably a case of personal choice, I can see pros and cons for both, but I'm very grateful for any advice,

    Magic

hmm i dont really know why the USB loader from mauifrogs guide wont work for your wii Magicfriend, mine worked fine when i had my drive as WBFS...

In saying that i have since gone to a fat32 drive and use wii backup manager to load scrubbed WBFS games to the fat32 drive WBFS folder, which also has all my HBC apps, movies and music as well... love it
Problem with this place is the tutes are that damn good that one could end up not learning as deep as they should... Dont just rely on the tutorials understand your Wii...

I have not mod-chiped my Wii, nor is it capable of playing backups, so I cannot speak from experience.

IIRC, the PS2 cannot play DVD+Rs, but certain modchips allow it to. I believe its like this for the Wii, too.
"Improved read settings for recordable media. Allows you to play isos from DVD-R, DVD+R DVD+-RW and for movies and GCOS you can use Dual-layer DVDs"
    - Wii Mod-chips D2CKey

From a simple Google search, its quite easy to see there are serious issues with DVD+R media and the Wii.

Wii: Mario Kart Wii Bundle (Black, 4.3U), SM: 4.1U, HBC: v1.0.8,
    cIOS: d2x v8 beta (r41), Priiloader: Priiloader v0.7, SDHC: SanDisk Ultra 16GB Class 6,
USB HDD: Seagate Expansion 500GB (ST905004EXA101-RK), Loader: USB Loader GX r1147
