But, isn't there some Wii Models that do not support downgrading?

I skipped the 4.1U step just in case, but thanks for the tip dude! It seemed like for just downgrading for BannerBomb Exploit and some other stuff.

Yep odd hit the nail on the head there lol. I see your join date was back in 2009. You are probably thinking about the LU64/65 Wiis released that year (with SM 3.4) where everyone said not to downgrade otherwise you would brick. Well, no one now is trying to go back to 3.0 so there is nothing to worry about.

Lol one more thing though. My Wii is having a hard time shutting down. It gives me this weird yellow orangy light and then I have to turn it on again and hold the power button for a while to shut down properly, but if I shut it down through the WiiMote I get that weird light again. Any suggestions?

It didn't work. I'll try again later though on another computer, on the formatter tool when I selected "Format Type: ERASE" it said my computer wasn't able to do it, so I tried doing the "Format Type: OVERWRITE" option and that didn't work. It still freezes once I get to the "Press 1 to continue" point..

what exactly are you trying to format? if youre trying to format a USB drive on your pc, run the program as administrator.

My SD card. I was trying to put hbc on my wii, and when I got to the point in the hackmii installer, where it said "press 1 to continue" it froze. Someone told me to make sure my SD is formatted correctly so I am trying to do that.
