    @nightstah,

I installed the DarkCorp just to play original games from disc channel, maybe I was wrong and it not useful after all. I have neogamma channel running from homebrew channel. It could play original SSBB and Wii Sport. The USB HD works for me. I use Trancends 8GB and formatted to WBFS. If I redo all the step from the guide and downgrade the firmware to 4.1, it won't break my Wii and I'm able to play other region (Japan and Europe) on my US Region Wii? Or I don't need to downgrade since I already have neogamma installed on my Wii?

Then there's no reason for you to do so. If backups won't play, there's absolutely no benefit for DC to be installed.

Do you have a hardmod? Answer: no. Do you have an optical drive capable of playing backups? Answer: no. There's no reason to downgrade.

USB HD + Neo Gamma (or other backup loader with feature set for region forcing) = WIN!

Reformat your card, follow directions in the tutorial. You can unzip on your PC, then move the files to your SD card if that may save some time.

Krafter has recommended I follow this guide to get my old softmodded 3.2e up to date (it may have also been downgraded by somebody previously, I just don't know). It has an older bootmii as boot2, some custom channels , varous apps, maybe some IOS updates etc. Will this guide work Ok for my setup, I'll be doing it all offline as my Wii has no internet connection. I'm also keen to add USB2 support in the end, so I guess I'll have to add that new IOS manually later.

    Many thanks guys!

This guide will be fine. Do Chapter 1, then 2, then 3.

Quick question, I don't want to make a new thread for it and it's kind of relevant.
If I'd buy a new Wii from the store, what patch would be on it? Or would I have to manually install the patches? If this would be the case, which one is recommended?
It's the one that comes along with Wii Sports, if that matters.

Please Help! (im frustrated with this crap of a wii.. trying this guide for over 1˝ day now..)

This is what i have done, and suceeded in doing (maybe someone could tell me if anythings gone wrong?) cause i sure cant play any games!

Yes i did launch the "false" save-file thru lego-indiana, no problem
No errors when installing the HBC or BootMii either..

I made a NAND backup and saved it to my pc - everything okey so far!

I ran the md5summer and used the "verify sums" on the ModPakAnyWii-file, everythink okey, all verified!

Started HBC, launched BootMii, and installed all Wads in "wad manager", everythings okey - no errors!

Ive downgraded with the 4.1e (pal) - system menu NUS-v450.zip - installed it and everything worked fine!

I installed Priiloader - the screen freezed, but it said everything was installed OK!

In "system menu hacks" i choose to enable the BLOCK DISK UPDATE and BLOCK ONLINE UPDATES and saved

I formated my sd-card and extracted the "anyWii-appPack.zip" on to it..

ALSO:.. i did format a usb-hdd with the fat-32-formater.. i used disc-manager to put it active and everything acording to the guide.. all this seems to have been going okey to!

I used the "wii game manager" to remake a .iso -gamefile to a WBFS-file, and put it in usb\wbfs\gamenamn\gamename.wbfs
i also used the program to move it to the correct folder on the usb-hdd

STILL... i cant launch it thru any of the loaders in the wii..

Why? im getting tired and almost angry with this.. ive followed the manual Exactly as it said!

it is likely that 4.3 is already on it. if not DO NOT update it as it will make it much harder for you to softmod it. if it comes with 4.2 you are lucky and can softmod without the need of a game exploit as a 4.3 hack would.
You do not need any specific firmwareversion on your wii to be able to play any game or use some special app/use the shopchannel.
    DO NOT UPDATE
Do this softmod guide no matter which firmware version you get and you will end up fully softmodded (preferably landing on 4.1 firmwareversion as there is no improvement for the user on 4.2/4.3)
    have fun modding your wii!
    good luck

there has to be the gameID (is shown in the manager when you load your .iso) in the name too: usb:\wbfs\gamename_GameID\gamename_GameID.wbfs
also there are games around which need special treatment Problematic Games & solution
what happens in the first place ? you see those games on the loader? you have the intro sound? click run and it goes straight black or what ?

edit: gamemanager puts it in at default i thought.. use right click copy as wbfs with subdirectory to drive (into the wbfs folder))
