The original SSBB works on your Wii. If this Wii was purchased within the last year, you won't be able to play backups on the optical drive; a USB HD solution would be your path. Why would you install DarkCorp on a D3-2/D4 drive ---- doing so would be useless?!?!?!

Mauifrog's guide if followed correctly will allow for downgrade; this effectively was designed for hardmodders with a backup-capable DVD drive (a Wii can be soft and hard modded). The loaders themselves have options allowing you to force the region (Neo Gamma, and others) to allow for out of region game playing. This would also work via the previous USB HD solution mentioned.

That answers the first part. My second question (implied above) is where do I get it? Just google it and download it? Like I said it is not on the sd card and it is not part of the instructions to get it. I want to follow the instructions perfectly because I like my Wii and I choose not to use it as a door stop, even though it would be a good looking one.

It's in the root of ModPack.-AnyWii.zip, plain as day.

im going to try the guide one last time

    PROBLEM:.. making the NAND

i do not have a gc-controller, and i dont know what button is the "power" or "reset" button on the black wii ??

the guide tells me to: "Press Power, Power, Power, Reset, Reset (or use gc-controller)
Power = Right, Eject = Left, Reset = Select"

    but which buttons are mentioned??

The power and reset buttons on the front of the wii console! - So you press POWER 3 times and RESET twice...

    So (1) Power, (2)Power, (3)Power, (1)Reset, (1)Reset

it is just normal. simply ignore it. it is marked and won't be used. (there are wii's around with none or with up to 100 bad blocks) don't worry

    <--suggestions helped? press Thanks

i will proceed with the guide, carefully step by step.. and ill get back to you if something strange happens, alright?

also.. all the wii-flows, backup-loaders, and yada yada yada.. that ive installed before this time..
do i have to delete anything, or can i just leave them as they are?

I got "two bad blocks" when making the NAND.. hope this isnt to wrong either?

Sorry, I unzipped AnyWii-AppPack.zip instead. Do I need to reformat my SD card and unzip ModPack.-AnyWii.zip or can I just delete all that stuff and unzip. My SD Reader is OLD, takes about a half hour.

    using the priiloader - problems!

first it said something about a "password not detected or deleted.."

and then there was an error.. but still a OK! (?) at the end of the install

after that the screen get all frozen up with a lot of "blurry" lines..

is this as it should be?
