There are many ios and many programs that run on them, like the system menu and games, but one does not effect the other. So your compatibility issue should be in the ios or cios running the game. If running a backup try another cios. If the backup was working but now is not, you may wish to install whatever cios it was working with into ios slot 246 or other slot. If it is a game disc, identify what ios that game uses to run and try to reinstall an updated copy.

I don't know anything about this bluetooth your using, so if you are still having issues and you think it is related to the system menu 4.1 you can update it back to 4.3. You can update to 4.3 with MMM, install ios80 with patches then install system menu 4.3, then exit to the HBC and reinstall priiloader.
So I found that to make the wii detect the USB dongle it has to be plugged in while power is off. I did that and it worked with the original game (NFL boot camp) but not the USB game (active 2 workouts) so I knew it was the iOS. I tried several and finally got it working on ios223. Thanks for the support all. If anyone else is using these games ios223 is the way to go!

Great thread here, provides a lot of help for newbies.

I have been to all the stores here that sell memory cards, but I have not been able to find any SD cards. All the stores have told me that they no longer get these with the smallest ones being a 4GB SDHC.

I carried out the letterbomb exploit using the card, as the original letterbox site says SD(HC), and it was fine, with homebrew channel, bootmii installed and a NAND backup made.

The next section "Chapter 2", says that an SDHC card will not work.

Can someone explain why this wont work, and what the risk would be if I try it with the SDHC card, as I don't have access to an SD card and would like to complete the process.

    Thanks alot guys

    Queries

    Hi,
I am a newbie.. I just bought a Wii console and successfully soft-moded using the information provided. It is a excellent guide. Kudos to the Admin team. Now my queries are..

    a) I could not understand the last step. I did downloaded App_Pack.zip and unzipped it to SD card and booted my Wii. Does it install all the App from SD card to my Wii console automatically or do I need to do something to install them?

    b) Now since my Wii is soft-moded how do I play games from my Hard drive instead of DVD's? Also are their any useful website from where I can download some games.

Thank you so much for your time.

    a) The apps are already "installed". You can run them from the Homebrew Channel.
    b) Re-read the instructions in the last step. Links on how to play games from your hard drive are there. Also, (link removed) is a great link about downloading games.

    EDIT:

    Hi,
    Thanks in advance.
I installed HBC and bootmii with letterbomb. During installation, wii showed HBC can be installed, and bootwii only as ISO. It showed successful installation, but when I launch bootmii in HBC, a back screen appeared, the wii slot blue light flash all the time.
What is wrong and how to fix it?
    Regards

Thanks for the response. However when I select homebrew channel, I could not see any applications. I am just seeing a blue sky kind of screen with moving clouds.
Also the link is removed in your post. May be you can use "at" word instead of symbol to give the url.

    Hi,
I have couple of queries to load games from USB.

    a) Can I use a hard drive which have non-game related data as well and game saved in root folder of same hard drive? Will Nii detect the games alone or do I need to use a fresh brand new hard drive which does not have anything apart from games?
    b) After copying games to hard drive and connecting the hard drive through USB, how do I select game from hard drive.. Do I need to use any application in Wii to browse and select a game?
    THanks.

The bootmii folders need to be on your sd card, which should be in the wii.

It sounds like you have no apps in the apps folder. the last part of the guide has you download some recommended ones, you may have missed that part or did it incorrectly. The link cjizzle posted was removed because we do not allow outside links to be posted.
    1. yes you can have other data on there.
    2. get those apps on your sd card and cfg loader will run your games

    Hi,
Thank you very much for your time and response. Their exists a USB loader in WII main menu screen. However it works only if I have the Apps file in SD card and SD card inserted in the slot in Wii. Is their any way I can have those applications permanently installed in Wii console so that I can use this program to load games from USB without a SD card? If yes what is the procedure to copy this app to console. Thank you once again.
