    Letterbomb for stubborn 4.3U

I tried everything out there it seemed but this guide pointed to using the letterbomb exploit. Worked like a chram and got HBC and bootmii installed. Easy-peasy from there.

If it seems like the sd card won't load anything, try the letterbomb option. I could save channels and game data on sd cards but couldn't load anything from the sd card menu.

    Thx X 10

Here are my observations, and a very simple guide.

    1. Get your Wii's mac address:
The MAC address of the Wii can be found by:
From the Wii Channel menu, select "Wii Settings" (the round button on the bottom-left of the screen with "Wii" on it)
    Select "Internet," then "Console Settings."
The MAC address of the Wii console is displayed on the first line.
    2. Format your SD card. Fat32
Panasonic SDFormat preferred. Dont skip this step.
    3. Download the HackMii installer
You can use the mac address to build a custom hackmii installer at http://please.hackmii.com/
MAKE SURE YOU SELECT YOUR REGION up top
If you get the captcha wrong, it will RESET your region. This happened to me. If you do, the installer, well, in my case hung the wii. Had to hard boot it.
    4. Copy downloaded files to root directory of SD card.
    I used windows xp.
    5. Put card in wii and start it.
    6. Hit the envelope in the lower right hand corner

If you dont see the red message with the bomb, hit the - or + buttons to choose a different date.
    7. Click on the big red envelope with the bomb.
The hackmii installer launches. (note if it hangs, you might not have done step 2, or you might have chosen the incorrect region)

You can now pickup with Mauifrogs guide from part 2.

Easy, Peasy, Lemon Squeezy. All you people who updated and cant find a game can now rejoice. Please. Follow the guide. Make a nand backup. And keep it.

Well, the reason for this would be blatantly obvious if you bothered to actually read the guide, none of the bannerbombs work on 4.3 (the whole point of 4.3 was to kill this exploit(4.2 killed bannerbomb1, 4.3 killed bannerbomb2)) and, all the other options for 4.3 (until the letterbomb was released, in the last couple of days) require an ORIGINAL copy of one of the supported games, so... loading anything from the SD menu was never an option in 4.3 anyway.

    Hi ilmp

once you have the letterbomb exploit on your SD card you dont load it from the SD menu. Click on the little envelope on the bottom right and then go to "yesterday" on the calendar. you should see the read envelope with the bomb in there.

No. I mean the sensors that strap to your forearm and leg for certain fitness games. They connect to the wii via bluetooth dongle which plugs into the USB port of the wii. It did not work with 4.1. Apparently 4.3 adjusted the usb drivers so that this device could be properly detected and work. If I use this guide I'll be back to 4.1 right? And they won't work anymore?

The usb drivers you refer to are in the IOS, not the system menu. You are downgrading the system menu, not the IOS. As Shift_Lock said in the post above yours, the IOS will be up to date if you follow this guide.
