maybe actually do that?t says it requires IOS58 and that I need to install it and reinstall the HB channel.
wow...ok are there any confirmed working SD cards you would recommend for use for 4.3u wii -______-
Like I said, this isn't my first rodeo at installing MauiFrog's wii mod. Secondly, I have gone back, and redone step 1 two extra times now. I do the Smash Stack, get past the scam screen, install HBC, then install BootMii. I then completed step 2 word for word. Step 3, I have my own way of doing, but as MauiFrog says, that one's up to us. Any ideas other than "it's in step 1"? Cuz if I'm doing that step wrong, I'm not seeing how.
@helpm3, MauiFrog even says in OP that you should get a SanDisk NON-SDHC, standard SD card 1-2 GB.

Figured it out. I decided since I was having the issues with it, that since I had already had the HBC installed from originally modding, that I would go and do the softmod section of "with HBC installed". Deleted IOS 58 on the system thru MMM(it was yellow actually), and reinstalled the IOS 58 wad in the wad manager section that was included in the zip file. Thx Maui, I don't know how IOS 58 got borked, but it did, and you had an answer. Perhaps you should add that as a description to that zip too, just in case I'm not the only one to ever get it. Cheers, I owe you a drink.
Also, I'm glad none of you had to wipe my ass.

i got it working with the SD formatter. thanks
i have aother question. i installed all 25 wads in the guide. i am on 4.3u wii. is it necessary requirement for me to downgrade to 4.1? what are the benefits? from my understanding messing with the system menu can risk bricking my wii..
If a safe methodology to downgrade didn't excist, it would not be an inluded (recommended) option in this guide. You'll have to use your own common sense judgement on performing the optional steps, as the question of it' being worth it, will only yield random opinions.
