You may want to update the GX link in your signature to r1216 or 1217 which include direct button mapping for Devolutions alternative controllers

Also, run another system check and report back.

Sorry about the double post, I didn't know if the forum would change my post to unread once I edited it or not.

Where would I find the global config file for GX. Would it be on my SD card, because I formatted that when doing the Softmod tutorial again.

Edit: Also how would I go about updating HBC to 1.1.2 from 1.1.0. Also do I need to update my bootmii?

Edit 2: It magically works today after installing a game via WiiFlow and then using the HDD in GX. So the only question that remains is the one in my first edit about bootmii and HBC.

Is there a link for that? When I got back from vacation, I checked to see if there was a new version and didn't see one past 1215. I guess I missed. Thanks.

Other than a few extra cIOSs of old versions of other cIOS, which won't harm anything, the syscheck looked good.

You don't want to go to HBC 1.1.2. Anything past 1.1.0 is meant to be used for Wii U only, not the Wii. We do not recommend you go past 1.1.0.

Oh okay. I wasn't aware of the HBC changes. Also I found this for 1217 https://code.google.com/p/usbloader-.../detail?r=1217

    USB Loader GX r1217:

These were both released simultaneously so I'm not sure what exactly is different between the two.

SNES_Master the only changes logged were these from 1216 to 1217:

    • Changed how video mode is chosen by the loader
    • PAL now really uses PAL
    • Force Interlace now really use interlace
    • Use Force480p if you want to force progressive
    • Use Disc/console default for auto-detection

Thanks. So when I got back from vacation, 1215 was most recent. These were released yesterday.

And the change log from 1215 to 1216 is:

    Code:
    * Improved GameCube controller functions (patch by Dynamit)
      R+Z=Screenshot, X=Gameinfo window, Y=Covers download
    * Added Classic Controller and GameCube Controller support
      in GameInfo window:
      Right stick=3D Cover movement, X=Flip 3DCover 180, L/R=Zoom
    * Added Wifi6 and wifi10 pictures for GameInfo window.
      (Thanks OriginalHamster)
    * Added device priority selection for GameCube listing
in global Loader settings (SD->USB, or USB->SD)
    * Added a "Use global" language setting for Gamecube games.
    * Added support for USB devices with modified MBR's signature
      to prevent WiiU's format message.
    * Prevent Rockband cursor display on GameCube and WiiWare
games with "band" in the title (Crach bandicoot, Beach
      Bandits, etc.)
    * Added Dol's Video mode patcher in Loader/Game settings,
for games which couldn't be forced. (MadWorld, MotoGP08,
      Mario Party 8, etc.)
? Region patch = Patches the dol's known video modes
to the region selected in "Video mode" setting,
                but keep interlace/progressive references.
? ON = Patch all dol's known video modes to the one
                selected in "Video mode" setting.
? ALL = Patch all dol's found video mode patterns
(even unknown video modes) to the one selected
                in "Video mode" setting.

    * DML: Updated DM(L) version detection up to v2.10
    * DML: Automatically enable PADHook if Screenshot setting
           is enabled
    * DML: Fixed a bug where multiple video modes could be set
           at the same time
    * DEVO: Added a prompt if trying to launch a game from a
            non FAT32 partition.
    * DEVO: Added Direct Mapping Buttons setting (Devo r200+)
    * DEVO: Added support for Language setting

    * Language files updated: Chinese, French

More problems (yay. . . . .)! So i got everything working. I was in the middle of ripping my GC games to my HDD with the new setup and got through 8 of the 22 I have. When I put in MarioParty 7 (I'm not checking if they work or not from backup, I just really want to have them backed up anyways) USB Loader GX said it could not load the disk. So I went to the Wii home to see if I could play the game and if it was a problem with Mario Party. I clicked home and then a screen popped up telling me to eject the disk and reboot the Wii because something went wrong. I followed the steps and restarted the Wii and got to the home screen and put MP7 back in and the same screen popped up. I followed the directions, but this time I tried MarioKart Double Dash. Same thing happened. Any help? I'm leaving it unplugged for a while to see if it was a heat issue, but I doubt it.

Are your discs dirty or scratched? It's possible either the discs or your Wii's laser are dirty.

No the disks are fine. It could be the laser, but I'll try again just to make sure. Is there a guide to cleaning the laser?

Edit: It is working again after it sat for about 10 minutes.

Edit 2: The noise is pretty loud when it is reading the disk. I think the reader is dirty :/ I guess that is another thing on my list :l

Edit 3: Would you recommend doing something like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CX_29G6DZQE
