When I load either USBLoader Gx or CFG USBLoader, it hangs and tells me that it cannot recognize the USB device.

I've followed the guide several times to partition it with EaseUS either by FAT32 or NTSC, nothing seems to work. I guess my question is if there is a way to use the Wii or HBC to detect the USB stick or format it there? I'm thinking this USB stick is just completely incompatible with the Wii, even though it works fine on the computer.
The usb device is simply not compatible

I followed all steps in your guide about formatting to Fat 32 and tranferring games to an external harddrive which they do and do show up in Windows. However when the drive is connected to the Wii ( I use USB loader gx) it keeps asking if I want to format the drive instead of going to the games screen. Any suggestions? I used Ease US program to format the drive. Thank you.

Make sure u are using the latest revision of the loader, also try one of the other loaders. Make sure that the hd is marked as primary and active, if u r still not having any luck i would suggest running through the guide again from start to finish

The guide worked great for me on a Toshiba Canvio 3.0 750GB portable drive.

OK thanks. I do have another drive which works fine with the WBFS file system but wanted to go over to fat 32 so I can see the games in Win 7. Is it alright to partition the drive in half, one for wii games and the other say for movies and still have the wii work with Fat 32? I did make the wii partition primary and active.

Got it fixed - the GX loader 3 did the trick - thanks once again for your help.

    Hi,

Yesterday I made the jump and decided to mod the wii (I want my ScumVM games on there to blow some new life in the console).
Softmodding went pretty smoothly, I followed the guide to the letter.

Then I jumped over to this thread and followed this guide to the letter,
some small hick-ups asside it went swimmingly.

Now I have a fat 32 Lacie 750 gig desktop hard drive (model 301839E), set to primairy and active.
I put some files in the WBFS folder and hook it up to my Wii.

And all usb loaders hang on initialisation of the drive. The Wii locks up and only a hard reset can get me out of there.

Any ideas, is it the drive? Or my installation?
In theory it should work as the 301840E works and that's the same model only 1T istead of 750 gig.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi,

I am using a 160GB WD HDD. I done the whole process for Skyward sword but when I plug it in and try several loaders, they all simply can't run the WBFS.
Tried using USB Loader GX and ran the game. It showed me a blank screen throughout...
For WiiFlow, it just shows the WiiFlow symbol in the middle forever....
Neogamma says No WBFS Partition found..

    Any idea guys?

    My directory is W:\WBFS\SOUE01_The_Legend_of_Zelda_Skyward_Sword\S OUE01.wbfs.tmp

    I'm using wii game manager
