Anybody have an idea? Drive works as I play for hours on end now and zero glitches. Just can't rip them from disk.

Try updating your loaders or try a different loader

I believe my loaders are up to date as you helped me redo everything to get it to this point. I have tried using USB loader gx as well as config loader and both won't backup my games from the disks properly. It'll take about a half hour and say that it's the full size it's supposed to be before I back it up. The backup says it completed successfully but when I go to load it I get a stack dump and need to reset my wii. If I hook my HDD to my computer it shows the files size as only being about .5 Gb when it was say 4GB predicted finished size. Hope some of this info helps

Sorry new to the scene. I used this on one of my frequently used HD, being completely computer illiterate and now I cant access that data anymore. Is there anyway to recover my original partition which let me access all my data?

Download a program called Undelete 360. If there's any chance of recovering your erased info it'll be this way.

Ok, here's how I would skin this one. Need to isolate what the problem is. In my estimation, there are a few basic possibilities

    1. The Wii's drive itself.
    2. The game disc itself
    3. Your hard drive and/or something about the way it was prepared.
    4. Incorrect/Botched CIOS setup
    5. Some other hardware issue (seems less likely but possible)

So.. since theres no practical way to test #1, move on to #2. This can be tested by trying diferent games. I presume you've already done this.

So #3. My advice would be to get a USB stick (a 4 gig one would be fine) and prepare it exactly as shown in this guide. Then try ripping the title to the USB stick instead of your hard drive. If it works, try moving the title over to the hd and see if you can launch it. While this isnt the best solution, for sure, if it works it would give you the means to transfer your titles over.

#4, you can post a syscheck and we can review it for you to verify that.

And.... if you're not using easeus and following the directions exactly, do it. I dont care how long you've been in IT or how many hard drives you've formatted. Follow the guide exactly.

Good luck, and let us know how it works out.

Tried everything and still won't backup my games from my discs. Really frustrating because the only reason I'm doing this is to get rid of the 2 binders full of games that I have. Reformatted my drive again as well. The wii I purchased second hand but the guy just bought it so I doubt it's a bad drive. Games i backup from my computer play fine I just can't backup from Disc using the USB channels
