I'm having a few problems and I feel they might be related to the file, what I'm wondering is if I am supposed to split the files if the original file size is over 4.00 gigs or if it's only if the estimated sizes is over 4gigs? the problem I'm having is that when I'm playing is that the game will stop working the picture will keep going, the sound will be glitched and I will not be able to control the wiimote and am forced to do a hard restart. but this also happens with mario party 9 which is less than a gig. is it perhaps that the file is corrupt?
softmodded with bannerbomb v1 I use wii game manager as for the hard drive I believe it's a western digital 350 gig ST3100052QAS at least I think it is. it does not happen with everygame I know for a fact I am able to play resident evil umbrella chronicles and darkside chronicles, as well as obscure without any problems. it tends not to work when loading mario party 9. lego harry potter 1-4 works for a few minutes then it seems to just lock up( but the people are still moving, have to do a forced shutdown though).
Hey there, having some issues with making games appear in wiiflow (and usb loader).
tried wii game manager and fusion. but none of the games show up in wiiflow (or usb loader.)
installed a game from a disc, and that shows up. this is a 2TB fat32 external drive.
also tried wii backup manager, did not change the issue. also, tried all the 3 choices in wii game manager. no split, 2gb split, 4gb split. on legend of zelda skyward sword. wich, from what i understand from the info i see, is larger than 4gb in .wbfs format.
Now, i tried removing the game i installed from disc, from the wbfs folder on the external drive. it still shows up in wiiflow. but none of the games added with the different managers shows up yet.
I figured this out by simply fiddling with everything i didnt know what meant.
i went to wiiflow settings, on page 1, press download covers and titles, then download gameTDB.
yay. thanks to myself and to pob for creating this guide.

Using the FAT32 instead of WBFS is there a limit on number of games that can be on the drive like WBFS has a 500 game limit?
I have the my book essential 1tb hard drive and I followed the guide it and when I plug the hard drive to the wii first port and went to usb loader gx : Loading Initialized usb device or if I go to wiiflow it crashes with random numbers.
This will guide you to the right files and how to get wiiflow working with a fat32 partition, even if converted from WBFS partion using wbfs2fat32 software.
Thanks in advance to Ithian; ShadowSonic2; mauifrog; Krank; Cile; Pob3008; cjizzle; Shift_Lock (apologies if I forgot anyone in this long-winded journey - let me know and I will edit the post accordingly): Without your posts, I don't think I'd have been able to work it out!
Turns out that the fix is pretty straight-forward. I know how frustrating this must be, I've spent nearly 3 weeks trying to sort this out!
Update your wii! EVEN if it is already softmodded!
This would be a good time to make sure that your wii is up-to-date.
Follow the Softmod ANY Wii guide.
Follow the guide from scratch (apart from getting HBC running if you alreay have it)
Also make sure you update other software like wad manager, multi mod manager, priiloader, syscheck as not doing this caused me many unneccessary problems as I thought 'pah' I already have it.
Even update the system menu etc (the only thing I did NOT do was the region change)
Do a syscheck and make sure you have IOS 58
Run a syscheck (systemcheck) If you dont know how, I'm sure you know how to use the search!
If not then add IOS 58, again use the search!
Get base wiiflow files
Get base wiiflow from here and extract to SD card (I KNOW it says to Fat 32 or SD, but I will post an update once I can get it working on the fat partition, one thing at a time folks, or 'debugging' the situation goes out of the window)
Install the forwader channel
Install the forwader channel from the wad folder on the SD using wad manager or MMM (forwader=carbonik-Nforwarder58-WFBJ; base=249; NAND emulation=Disable)
Download a working DOL for wiiflow
Download the app pack from here and extract to the SD card, you will be asked if you want to replace the file in 'apps\wiiflow\boot.dol' - ALLOW IT TO BE OVER WRITTEN
Safely remove everything from the PC and your wiiflow intallation should work fine!!

Hi, I tried doing this but it's still not being able to read my HDD. I've also tried using WBFS manager and I'm getting errors and it's not letting me format to WBFS either. I have also tried the NTFS format as well and still am not able to get my games playing off my USB. If you guys could help me I'd really appreciate it.
