Okay, "barwii" I'm going to start going through it here tonight (if the kids don't come in and do a hostel takeover on the Television that I want to use...lol).

    Thank You much,

Thanks for this guide. Have read it through and all the others users questions and am still stumped - I know this is a stupid question but just can't get my head
    around it:
I'm following up to the bit in chapter 2, option 2 using wii backup manger
    So
1.when it says "Create a folder on the root of your hard drive called WBFS" does
this mean my computers hard drive (ie: c: windows xp) or the usb hard drive(fat
32 that will plug into the wii?)
2.Likewise which hard drive (windows or my fat32 formatted) should wii backup
    manager be installed on?
Then I locate the .iso file (which should be on my computers hdd Right?) and (Now I think i'm partly answering my own question!) tell it to save wbfs file to the folder created on....usb drive?
3, lastly if i also want to copy some discs using cfg loader do these copied disks show up the same way in wii backup manger as if I had copied them over from
    isos?
Thanks to anyone who has the patience to unmuddled me!

    The external usb hdd

Wii backup manager is used on your pc. It's like when you connect your phone to your computer to import and export data.

You can rip the games to the hdd using a usb loader from the original disc or if they are backups of your originals and your wii drive is capable of reading dvd r -/+ then you can also do it that way..

I've gotten confused by reading too much so could someone please tell me if I am now on the right track
The current most recommended way of setting up a usb hdd is:
    Format to fat32
create a folder on the root of the drive called wbfs
put games on there in the format of .wbfs
    ---is this correct?
So I use wii backup manager to copy .iso files over converting them to .wbfs on the way?
and I assume i can simply drag and drop any .wbfs files I already have directly onto my usb hdd?
Lastly I have read (but i think it is outdated?) that only some usb loaders will work with fat36? Could someone please clairfy if wiiflow will read .wbfs files from a fat36 formatted drive?
Thanks to anyone who can save me hours and headaches trying work this out!

Yes, FAT32 is the way to go. Using Wii Backup Manager to transfer files is the way to go. It keeps the naming structure uniform. Wiiflow will read fat32 just fine.

Hi, Not sure if you can help or not? I'm a little old school and stuck in the dark ages with me hdd. My hdd is formatted to WBFS and i still use WBFS manager to load games on. I must admit i have never ran into problems using this as all me games play with no problems (all 106 of them).
I have been meaning to go to fat32 for ages. Would i have to reformat and load all me games back on when changing to fat32. If so may take a while to do so may stay as i am.

Any info suggestion would be great.
