Alright, so I tried to use this guide with an older version of the Softmod Any Wii Guide, and I was taken to a black screen whenever I would start up USB Loader. So I had to go back and update my Wii using the new Softmod any Wii Guide.
All apps run correctly, and I am able to run my backups using WiiFlow, USB Loader GX, etc.
Here is my problem, I am unable to play my backup Wiiware, VC, etc. Wiiflow just does not recognize the installed Wads on the NAND.
I get Wiiflow, as all the channels when I choose my USB1.
Read through almost all of the thread, and saw that someone had this same problem, but I don't think an answer was posted.

I have a question regarding the loading of VC games. I am under the impression that using an emulated nand is to not wear out the real Wii nand but is this only if the Wii is running the games from SD all the time? What if you install directly to the nand with a wad manager and load the games from a channel? This should not wear out the nand surely since this is what a "real" consumer would be doing from the Wii Shop channel etc?

Okay so I got everything figured and I am able to load the Backup NAND from the USB1. I had to take out the SD card before it would recognize it.
Now, How do I install more .wad files direct to my USB. Basically what I had to do is replace my NAND folder on the USB with one from my computer. And I am unable to see any additional .wad files that I installed on the Wii.
BTW, Great guide.

Only Site Donators Can PM Staff
To install more wads u just have showmiiwads to direct to that location

excellent guide here, you are very helpful pob3008!!
I think earlier on you said that savefiles will be directed to the emulated nand? I could see some problems here, like me screwing up something and thus destroying my savefiles. and, how do I get my current saves from the real nand to the emulated one?
another question is has anyone tried combining the nandemulation from this guide and the diosmios lite guide? it would be excellent to be able to play wii, gc and vc games all from wiiflow!!

Okay, so I had to delete the backup NAND off my USB and restart from scratch and I was able to add .wad's this way.

I am still able to see all of the other .wad's I have installed, however no Majora's Mask. I saw someone had this earlier in the thread, but now I can't seem to find the solution.

OK, I'm sure this is a dumb question. But is it possible to make WiiFlow's default view be the NAND emulation? In other words, I would like my VC/WiiWare games to appear first when I run WiiFlow. Currently it always comes up with my normal Wii games first and I have to hit the little box in the corner to get to the NAND emulation. I'd like to have it just the opposite where the VC/WiiWare games show up first and I have to hit the button to switch to regular Wii games.
And just to make sure I give all the details, I am running both the NAND emulation and Wii games off the same FAT32 partition.

I've installed d2x cIOS v9beta(r49) to the system NAND. I'm assuming I need to install the same to the emulated NAND, right?
Can I just use ShowMiiWads to install the d2x cIOS v9beta(r49) wads onto an emulated NAND or do I need to take the long route (IE: Copy all of my saved games on the USB to the real NAND, Backup the real NAND, Reinstall my VC and WiiWare wads via ShowMiiWads, and then copy the NAND back to the USB)?
When a user plays a backup game, does WiiFlow use the cIOSs from the real NAND or the emulated NAND?
When a user plays a WiiWare or VC game from the system NAND, does WiiFlow use the cIOSs from the real NAND or the emulated NAND?

hi i followed your post correctly, my problem is when i select the Nand mode, it shows only my default wii channel. i tried changing the Nand mode to full, and partition as USB1, but no luck. however when i run USB-loader GX the VC&Wiiware games show up but dont run.. iam running 4.3e and using d2x cIOS v8 (249)
and suggestion what i could be doing wrong. i also have the hdd as one partition.
Hi, i followed the guide step by step but still having issues, iam using the latest, wiiflow 3.1. I cant seem to be able to let wiiflow show the emulated nand. It keeps showing me the default one. I tried using usb launcher gx, and my emulated nand showed, but when i try to start the game the wii restarts. If Gx is showing my emulated nand, i must be doing something right, true? But i cant seem to get working. Much help appreciated
