    Is this a GC or Wii backup? If it's GC, you want to make sure you have the SD card in the Wii when you start the game. I don't know about Wii.. I use Darkcorp. XD;

The Wii is an older one, got it back in November of 2008. The problem I'm having is whenever I try running the burned game from NeoGamma it says loading disk, then shows a flickering neon green screen. However, the sound works and i can click buttons and it is responsive, just the video does not seem to work. Any ideas on what the problem is?

    Do wii update mess with the DVD

    I used Verbatim DVD+R for years (not knowing that DVD-R was the prefered media)
    I had wiikey installed and had 3.2E system menu. Everything was fine.
    I then updated to 3.4E from a disc update, and the majority of my backups stopped working at that very moment. Latest softmod and Darkcorp etc does not help.

    Will i help me to transfer the backups to DVD-R discs?

    Any other suggestions to help me out on this?

    i downloaded uloader and used my usb dvd. it reads both dvd-r and dvd+r. i am able to use both formats with no problems. just tested it last night. so if you don't want to use the dvd reader in the wii, use a external dvd drive. you still can't play original Wii games as some dvd drives don't read the the disc though...

    Error message?

    I'm getting DVD error 1167 when I try to play backup dvd's thru neogamma. (sony -r dvd's) I burned at 4x. Is the 1167 error related to the discs or something else I'm doing wrong?

    Thanks

    It doesn't matter how you got hbc on there. People seem to think that the method used to install it makes a difference, it does not. The only things that matter are what Ios,cios, sm, drive chip you have. All of which can be determined by running the correct version of syscheck and posting it for us to see.
    I dont have an answer to your problem but really felt the need to tell you that.

    Try THIS, not sure if you will understand it though.

    Ok, im confused. I have always used asda's own brand -R. Some disks work ok but others seem to strat ok but then give a bad disk message. Im now thinking the asda brand are probably crap and am ready to try a different brand.
    But which ones??? All the previous comments are giving mixed impressions. I am using a samsung HD753LJ ATA burner at lowest burn speed.

    yeah youre quite right there. I have always used a usb loader with a 500gig hard drive. But it seems the hard drive has died-well I say died, the wii wont read it but I can access it through wbfs manager. I intend to buy a 1tb drive when I can afford 1. So for now, im copying the games my lad plays onto disk for him through wbfs manager, so I need some good quality disks.
