I've burned a few games now and have played them using neogamma. Some games i notice do not load. I get a green screen and nothing happens. Is it something do with my burning tech (burning at 4x on verbatim dvd-r) or is the downloaded iso not good?

I'm using some cheaper Traxdata DVD-R. They come in bundles of 50 dvds o_O
They might be lower quality but so far i have had no problems with them.
I allways burn at 4x with ImgBurn software.
About the cheapest brand available in Norway i think.

I'm using Emgeton DVD-Rs, worked flawlessly for Wii64 and for NeoGamma too. Actually, ImgBurn says these are technically Sony.

I find Verbatim DVD-R give me the best results after 30 images burned-no coasters!
I have a USB NexXTech burner using ImgBurn or BootDeams for .cdi images at 2x and x4.
Although Bootdreams is more for Dreamcast rather than Wii but it works for most image files as well with promising results.
I do find that other brands of DVD-R degrade a lot faster, giving many Disk Read Errors. Stay away from no-name brand blanks unless you really need the bulk..

Can anyone confirm if TDK -R are good discs to use?
I burnt Monster hunter tri PAL onto a TDK -r @ 2.4x and it doesnt load and the wii starts making some crazy whizzing sounds, yet...
I burnt another copy onto a ASDA (Wallmart) RW @ 2.4x and it reads the disc and boots but i automatically get an error saying the disc cannot be read and asking me to eject.
Yet i have burnt the NTSC version do a ADDA (Wallmart) R and that loads and plays perfectly fine.
People have confirmed the ISO is good and they have had it working. im thinking about buying some Verbatim -R tonight after work. Anyone think that might solve the problem?
Im either going to buy the verbatim -R DVD's or just go and buy a WD Hdd. But i would like to try and save money buying DVD's first.

I have burned about 20 DVD,s all DVD+R bitsetting to DVD-ROM on quality Taiyo Yuden discs.
All play excellent
note **when bitsetting a dvd+r it is read by the wii or dvd player as a dvd-rom and is considered the most compatible way to record any dvd **
This can be done through selecting an option in nero or imigeburn software or through a firmware upgrade on your normal dvd writer

I have been working in Digital media for a long time and confirm what Hawk has said. Bitset it to DVD-ROM. I personally like Newegg Verbatims (They are from Taiwan ... Not the best location of production and sometimes they ship the super good stuff from Singapore but rare. Either way both are solid for this.) Newegg.com - Verbatim 4.7GB 16X DVD+R 100 Packs Spindle Disc Model 95098. I Buy those. 23 for 100 sometimes with free shipping.Plus don't forget you bing cashback (1%-2%) before it ends

Are the Memorex DVD-R's good? They're on sale at BestBuy right. The Verbatims aren't on sale and was too late to pick any up. Also I'm broke.

Two things. You get what you pay for is one. The second is Memorex is junk media x 10, almost a guarantee never to get the same media twice in fact. Considering the thread you're posting to, this is basic fail in reading and/or comprehending (aside from being just broke).
