We dont use it on the internet either. I had lots of games that I used to use, but they dont seem to work on this new wii. They are all on disk and are copies (not pirates), as I have 2 homes and like a copy in each house. I have Homebrew, USB loader GX Loandmii(use homebrew) and neogamma channel disc. Where do I go from here. My normal games still work in the origional disc loader from the menu. If anyone can help, please do, my kids are driving me nuts.

Black Wii's are not able to play copied discs. Usb loading is your only option.

Hello all. This thread is very helpful!!

I just bought a used wii that's is already hacked with a similar way.
I would like to know if I can use this guy to hack it my self again(the right way this time) because
I dont know to use it at the moment and I think that the hacked that isinstaled at the moment is 2 or 3 year old.

Can I use this guide to hack it now?

Here are some print screens from my wii

Hi, I wondered if you couls help. I followed your guide and all works great but I was unable to create a nand backup. I am guessing I missed something somewhere when I launch bootmii i just get blank screen and the blue light flashing. I think that I need to have the bootmii files on the sd. It would be great if you could let me know how to rectify this. Thanks again for the guide I donated last night

This isn't the place to post, post a new thread in the "General Homebrew/Hack issues" section hereafter. As for your question, you answered it yourself. You need to have the BootMii files on your SD card.

Also, it's good to know that you posted here because you couldn't make a NAND backup. Most people just skip that step and then cry about their irreparable Wiis in the Bricked Wii issues section.

since when has the d3 chipset supported burnt media? every d3 chipset wii ive hacked has not supported burnt media at all, no matter what the burn speed, source of iso, ect ect... and ive literally hacked over 1k wiis in my city. ive tested with known-good burnt media and fresh burns as well.

I believe there's a difference between the D3 and D3-2 chipsets. The latter is not able to read burnt media, while the former is. Maybe you hacked D3-2 Wiis instead of D3 ones. Or maybe I'm mistaken.

    Hi everyone.
First of all excellent guide. I've modded a lot of my stuff (phone, xbox etc etc) but your community is really noobie friendly. Just wanted to say that!!! I'm impressed because in order to learn a lot of stuff about nand, fastboot, recovery mode etc on my htc desire had to read a ton of guides. And all of the guides were under the assumption that you knew everything. But this guide is just the ultimate guide Really like it.

Anyway just one quick question. Haven't softmodded my wii yet and have black 3.4e sv. Should I first update to the latest 4.3 and use letterbomb or first softmod and then update through the unofficial root??
Also in wiibrew at the top there is a notice saying
Only update using the official update procedure. Downgrading or installing patched updates is unsupported, dangerous, and may permanently brick your Wii.
Well in here you say not to update online or through a disc. I'm confused :P
