Try reinstalling the cMIOS, maybe you had a bad install of it. That's the only thing you need to install for your Wii to play backup GC games. And, even though you create a NTSC multiISO disc, the source ISO's need to be NTSC too, don't use PAL ISO's and then burn a NTSC multi disc. I'm not saying that PAL will not work on NTSC, just say that for best compatibility - use the same region games.

chadilac4086 - your usb hdd is safe, and I havn't seen a GC disc update yet.

captainsparrow - good, your Wii plays backup discs. There is an app for the Wii that lets you rip games to SD card, you could have used WiiDumper to dump a GC image to a 2GB SD card, would not have needed to buy that LG DVD-ROM drive.

TheIdealist - I just downloaded from the link in the first post, perhaps it was a glitch or bug that has been fixed.

well, I wonder if it's really the cMIOS. My NTSC Multi-game ISOs (yes, the games are originally NTSC, and so are the multi game isos I built with them) are still running in BW, even if I force NTSC (which shouldn't even be necessary at all since everything's already NTSC). However, when trying to load the same multi game iso on backup launcher 0.3 gamma it runs perfectly. What could be going wrong?

Arghhh shiver me wiilee lol...good that yourGameCube backups working now theidealist.

Now Stomp_442 arghh....thanks for the info for using my Wii instead of the LG dvd-rom, can you give me a link for both the sotfware and a step by step guide matey so that I can try to rip to 2gb sd card. After the dumping of the GameCube disc is it just a matter of burning it onto good media or do I have to use another program to scrub or shrink it down? Thanks for your help in advance arghh..cheers me heartie...

Ok, I followed this great guide by Dogeggs and proceeded to install Wiigator's backup launcher 0.2. I was able to successfully load a backup of Pikmin 2 without needing to install any cMOIS; does this mean that the cMIOS isn't actually required, or am I missing something?

It just means that the wii had that cmios to run that particular game.

Maybe the Gamecube Backup Launcher 0.2 is the problem, I have used that with no problem. Someone pointed out in a different post that NeoGamma uses WiiGators backup launcher, try getting the latest Neogamma and see what happens. I have Neogamma 6 and that uses GameCube backup launcher 0.1 Xi.

Look at the above reply, try neogamma and see if that fixes black and white problem.

I have a link to the Wii Dumper, will dump Wii or GC games, made by Waninkoko. I dumped a GC game in about 2 hours, quite time consuming.

I don't know how you got a patched MIOS on your Wii. I noticed that guide by dogeggs says you can install cIOScorp 3.6, if you installed cIOScorp then you probably have a patched MIOS, but I don't recommend installing that. Also, I never used TBR and I'm not quite sure if that application patches the MIOS, I looked at the TBR readme and it says nothing about patching the MIOS. Also, the Dogeggs tutorial or download does not include anything to patch the MIOS. So, how are you able to run backup GC games?
