I just finished softmodding my Wii as per the instructions at http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html.

My question is, is there anything I should know before trying to do this? I really want to add this feature, I have pretty much no experience in these matters apart from going through with the above's instructions. Will I probably be okay if I just follow the instructions here in this thread or is it not recommended for beginners?

According to Wii Drive Chip Database - Serial Number Estimation, my Wii's chipset is GC2-D2C (v1) and it also says "The Wii has a RVL-001(AUS) model number and is produced for the south Pacific region, i.e. Australia, New Zealand. The copyright year is 2006."

I'm up to the NeoGamma step and I've hit a bit of a problem. I've got no idea how to install NeoGamma Loader - DFNG.wad, partly because I don't have any wad folder that I can see, and the install doesn't seem to work when the .wad is placed in a sd:/wad/ folder and attempted with the Multi-Mod-Manager (MMM) Wad Manager (it says it's incomplete). Forgive me if I'm doing something stupid here but I'm a bit confused. Sorry for being such a bother!

Create a folder called wad on the root of the sd. If using mmm, reload to ios36 and try installing the wad

Sent from my iPod touch using the WiiHacks App
