I thought this thread was inapplicable to me as the following is true

"Your Wii is not capable of playing backup games from disc. Easy test: In the latest NeoGamma, remove disc from the drive and select launch game from disc. You will get a read error. If it doesn't say anything about your drive, then it should capable of playing backups."

Was just wondering if I could play GC games from their original discs as the poster above said he couldn't

I followed the guide to the letter and on my wii it worked fine I used a dvd+r DL, but when I tried it on my friend's wii I got these errors: "DVD Err(03023a00), Disc ID" then "DVD+R/bad burn/DL Problem?" finally "No drive connected?" whats wrong?

Just contributing this since this was a question that's been asked on several occassions. There are some games which use two discs; Disc 1 and Disc 2. Midway through the story, you may have to swap to Disc 2. People are wondering how does that work and if there's an issue with it for those games like Tales of Symphonia and Metal Gears Solid: Twin Snake. I've been testing this out (not really, I just played Tales of Symphonia to try to beat it in less than 40 hours of gameplay, damn, 42 hours, lol)

    1. Create a Multi-Game ISO that has both Disc 1 and Disc 2 of the game using the provided tool. Don't shrink the game (not sure, I just haven't tested this so don't bother shrink it).

    2. Burn the image onto a DVD.

    3. Launch your game using Neogamma R9 Beta 49 or later.

    4. Play your game and enjoy, eventually you may get prompted to switch to disc 2.

    5. Simply, eject the disc in the dvd drive and re-insert the same one. It'll begin checking the disc then continue.

    Tested: Tales of Symphonia Disc 1 & 2 on a MultiGame ISO - Neogamma R9 Beta 49 - cIOS249 d2x v4 - using both cMIOS v10 and v4

    Can't install NeoGamma

Hello everyone. This is my fist post, and its purpose is to say that the installation of NeoGamma always fails for me.

I have wadmanager 1.7. I ran it, told it to use IOS35, pointed it to the NeoGamma Loader - DFNG.wad that was in the download package, and I got the following:
    [+] Installing WAD, please wait...
    >> Installing ticket... ERROR! (ret = -2011)
Is there something obvious I've overlooked? Help would be much appreciated.

Also, I couldn't find the cMIOS (RVL-mios-v10.wad) with NUS downloader, so I grabbed the first one I found when I googled the file name. If it's there, the tutorial you linked to doesn't help finding it.

Finally, consider including wadmanager in your download package. I was slightly confused when I realized it wasn't there.

Please take the time to introduce yourself in the Introductions area, and re-install w/cIOS 249 or 236. Refer to the list I provided a link for below and use the search bar please there is an error index. Thanks,

Use NUSD v1.9 click on Database --> System ---> MIOS ---> v10 and check the pack wad box then start NUS Download. Don't trust stuff you can d/load w/o knowing the source it came from, it's a guaranteed way to brick your Wii down the road.. if you love your Wii, stop doing that.

You can play gamecube games from usb if you have a hard mod (sundriver or wode) but not with a softmod.

I tested my wii using NeoGamma and it states "Drive too new for DVD-R's :-(".
Does this mean my wii is not capable of playing gamecube backups?

If not, would this affect my Wii in anyway since I went along with the whole guide process?
