Hi i just soft modded my wii everything was going fine in installed neo gamma and cios aimed really for playing back up gamecube games. I burned crazy taxi to disc put it in played fine first time. I then tried another disc it loaded up and booted, and then an ingame mesasage unable to read disc see gamecube instruction book displayed on the screen . At first i thought it was just the disc so i put in crazy taxi again and the same message appears on the screen again after it has loaded. Im using a 4.2e soft modded WII. The only thing i think that was changed from the time the games were working to getting the error message was updating the shop channel ios as i was getting error 002 would this have any bearing on this. Many thanks in advance

Never delete or remove an IOS under IOS200 (this probably goes for MIOS too), always install over top of.

Yes, I would start with one game per disc, just to eliminate a multiISO disc a being the problem. If you still have problems with a single ISO disc then you can look to something else as the problem.

Fujifilm is probably not the best media to be using and can cause issues, or you could get a good burn, and definitely not recommended. If you did as I recommended in the Disc Burning section of my guide then you should get a good burn, unless for some reason the media is faulty right out of the box, which I have seen with TDK media. It sure would be nice to know the manufacturer of the fujifilm discs you are using. Could you try to find the MID or Manufacturer ID of the disc, it may be something like CMC Mag or Ritek.

I don't think that updating the shop channel IOS or 002 error has anything to do with the MIOS. Try reinstalling the cMIOS and make sure your using one the recommended cIOS on slot 249. That would be cIOS38 rev17 or cIOSx rev20b base of 56, using a different IOS installed to IOS249 may give undesired results with NeoGamma. And last, perhaps your DVD media could be at fault, if you are not using the recommended media then do not ask why your backups are not working.

    Hello!

Hello everyone! I'm here because I'm trying to make gamecube backups run with Neogamma...My wii is softmodded and my system OS is 4.2U At the bottom of Neogamma, it says I have the version 9, b47 of Neogamma, loaded with IOS249. I followed this tutorial, but I'm still having problems.

The problem is, Everytime I try to run a game(i tried one game per disk and multi iso dvd) it gives me a warning about no audio streams, then says loading game, but nothing ever happens! I'm really not sure what I should do next.I installed MIOS v4, and I know I have cIOSx rev20b base of 56 installed too, and I may have several more because I softmodded my wii to use USB Backup Launcher.

Can anybody help, please? If you need more info, you can tell me how I get it, and I will post it. The silly thing is, two weeks ago, I got a backup working with GCBakcup Launcher...but then, multi iso DVD didn't work, I had only sound and no display, and I know that my backups were NTSC, and I made sure to create a NTSC Multi-ISO DVD also. The problem is not there. And that's when I tried Neogamma instead...it's even worse, it doesn't load at all...And GC Backup Launcher doesn't work anymore either...so I'm stuck..

Thank you very much! I'm sorry about all theses questions, but I'm not on the forums often, so I don't really follow the updates...(I know I should...) But I know the basics. If anyone can tell me what I should install or uninstall to fix the problem, that would be really nice

    Thanks a lot in advance!

Hello, I want to install the Patched Mios to my wii but before ill do i have a question. I have CIOS 249 base 57 Rev 20 installed for call of duty black ops. If i install the Patched Mios, will it work than? or is it required to switch to another version (In the first post i red about CIOSX rev20 on base 56? Whats the difference than?

And is the a big chance of brick why install the mios? Or is it almost totaly safe?

    Thanx!

Running great but has anyone else encountered audio clipping? I haven't really dug into it. Maybe burning the discs too fast?

For some reason I thought wii could play gc games automatically? I didn't know we would have to do this to get them to play.
No worries on my end as I got two functioning gamecubes, but yeah I thought it was just like that. I understand everything
in the tutorial, just havent tried this yet myself. If I do I'll have to report my progress.

This is most likely a stupid question, but I'm trying to be diligent and avoid breaking my Wii. I followed Mauifrog's guide to the letter and have it successfully working. Reading carefully, I see that I have: "Wanikoko- cIOS247[37]-v20, cIOS248[56]-v20, cIOS249[38]-v17, cIOS250[57]-v20" installed on my Wii.

Reading your advice, "Do not use any of Waninkoko's cMIOS installers with NeoGamma, because WiiPower says so!" I am unsure if what I have installed is the same thing as what you describe here. I intend to install cIOS38 rev17 and use NeoGamma only for Gamecube back ups.

Is this a compatible set up? I tried reading elsewhere for answers, I hope I did not ask a redundant question.

(Thank you for the guide (which I "thanked") and for your time.)

Yes. A cMIOS is not the same as a cIOS. You should be fine with that setup.

In warranty work starting the latter half of 2009 saw users unexpectedly getting their Wiis back with D3-2 drives (even if that wasn't a source of your warranty work/problem).
