Rename the downloaded wad to RVL-mios-v4.wad

I can't get it working. It says the following upon downloading

I have added CleanRip to the first post.

    Ripping Retail Gamecube Discs

    Download - CleanRip Channel
Tested and runs on my Wii, but you should have at least Priiloader if not BootMii/Boot2 installed.
I will not be responsible if you brick your Wii, install wads at your own risk.

CleanRip will enable you to rip a retail Gamecube game disc at USB 2.0 speed. You can rip to a SD card or USB device. I have created a CleanRip channel that installs to the Wii menu and does not require the app to be stored on the SD card. This channel will install and run on any Wii no matter what the Homebrew Channel version. It does require that IOS58 v6176 be installed, download IOS58 with NUS Downloader, don't forget to select "pack a wad", then install with wad manager. Or you can install IOS58 v6176 with DOP-Mii (no patches). The author of CleanRip claims no responsibility if data is lost on the USB or SD device, I recommend you use an empty SD or usb device, formatted to FAT32. I also recommend at least a 2GB SD or USB device, so you can get the entire GC rip in one pass without splitting the ISO.

If you do not want to use my CleanRip channel, maybe you would rather use the official HBC version, then you will need HBC 1.0.8 and IOS58 (v6176) installed - Look Here

Hey, I am glad the CleanRip channel works. All the games I tried failed (it froze while riping), but that was a known bug in v1.0.4, so it had nothing to do with the channel.

this channel is different than the one I passed out a few weeks ago, this one don't give a code dump when using the home button to exit.

I hadn't know of a bug when ripping games, I ripped one game and it worked fine. maybe I should try others.

Oh, maybe I gotta run this thru the wringer and see what makes it not work correctly.

The bug was reported here if that helps. It only happens with some games. I never tried a Wii game (I eventually forgot about the wad you sent me ), but the two GC games I tried didn't work.

Anyway, I don't think that it has anything to do with the channel you created, since the same thing happens when using the regular app (I tried it).

    can someone confirm this please.

after reading through this thread a bit am I to understand that i CANNOT play my gamecube backups AT ALL on my red 4.3u wii? Just want to get this understood before i do more extensive research on how to do this with my wii. Guess I'll just find the original discs wherever those are in the attic..
