But theres one thing I dont understand:
What is the difference in cMIOS V4,cMIOS V5,cMIOS V10???
I used the V4 as the guide said, but is there any different in compability between these 3 cMIOS?
Nintendo updates the MIOS, v10 is the latest update to the MIOS, MIOS v4 was the last version which allowed for the use of action replay (cheats).

I want to start by saying that I followed this guide to the letter and everything works, thank you for that.
My question, however, is about my media. I Followed this guide to play GC backups later, when I get my financial aid money and can buy verbatim dvd-r discs. I got impatient and burned a multiISO disk on my Ridata DVD+R discs and with the exception of what I assume was a bad dump of one game, they all work! I know the recommended media, but I was wondering if there was a reason my media worked. Was it... 1) A Lucky batch of DVD's? or 2) A lucky burner or lucky wii (launch season)? It's not important, I was just wondering if anyone knew. Thank you.
Give credit where credit is due. If it helps you, click "thanks" on ANY guide I link.

Any DVD -R/+R media can be used, not DVD RW media. Some say that the +R reduces the life of the Wii DVD laser, I don't believe that, as long as you use a good media, such as TY or Verbatim. I would believe that cheap media will wear out the laser before a +R Verbatim would. Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim (with the AZO dye) will last forever if burned and stored properly, the cheap media could go bad after a few weeks or last for years, it's just hard to tell with the cheap media. Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim (AZO) are known for archiving abilities. With the cheaper media (all others), they are produced with one thing in mind, $$ profits $$, quantity over quality, some can be bad right out of the package. If you know how to burn a disc correctly then you shouldn't have a problem with most discs that are found in retail outlets, I have seen some really bad media (longten) for sale on the internet.

I wish that cMIOSv4 could be changed to v14, so that discs wouldn't insist on updating if you don't have Priiloader hacks enabled. You should have Priiloader, of course, but it becomes a requirement once you install cMIOS.

Get the cMIOSv4 wad and open it in showmiiwads. Change the version number to v14 (or something higher like v65530....don't use anything higher then 65535). Install the edited file.
    Damn I suck!!!!

The cMIOS installer (from the first post) gives you the option to install the cMIOS with a higher version number if you choose to.

I didn't remember that. It has been so long that I don't even remember which installer I ran (WiiGator's or Waninkoko's).

Doesn't that happen if you force the wrong video settings?
