You can get both a GC controller and GC memory card for $15 US now a days, may-b even less if you do some searching.

Thanks for the great guide! After some work, I am able to play Gamecube backups on the Wii. My problem is that the music does not work in most of my games. I use TDK brand DVD-Rs and don't have access to others at the moment. Are there any options in Neogama I should mess with? Should I try different .wad files?
Thanks in advance.

Hey there. I have backed up a Gamecube image and burnt it to a disc. When I put it in, it is recognised on the main Wii disc channel. When I click start my Wii restarts. Tried lanuching from Neogamma aswell and it restarts also. I do not have darkcorp installed on my Wii so I'm just wondering how is my Wii able to recognise it on the main channel. And also do I need to install this MIOS from this guide in order to play it?
I know the answer is probably yes but I was just a curious that the Wii is recognising it and thought maybe I don't need to download this?
Thanks in advance!

I had the same rebooting issue. I'm not sure where your issue lies so I'll list some of the steps I got lost on.

3: In the upper right hand corner, there is a "Database" button. Click it and find "MIOS." I think it's under System. You need MIOS v4.
4: Click "Start NUS download" to download the file.
5. Rename the file "RVL-mios-v4.wad" and place it in the root of your SD card.
6: Make sure you have Wiigator cMIOSWiiGator.zip ready on your SD card.
7: Make sure you have NeoGama NeoGammaR9beta29.zip ready on your SD card
8: Go into Homebrew and launch WiiGator. Go through the menus and choose IOS249. Give it some time, it doesn't install right away. (I messed this step up earlier as I didn't realize you had to wait.)
9: You should be able to launch your GC games through Neogama in Homebrew.
Gamecube Mode: Internal
Force Video: Wii
Patch Video: No (I didn't have to turn it on)
I hope this clarifies some things.

I was looking at the GBA Temp compatability list and noticed something that seems to raise a couple of questions not answered in the guide. Their entry for the NTSC-U version of Twin Snakes says "Press B to Boot Game. Disc Swapping works with the Xi Loader. NTSC-U Game works with PAL Wiis. Works on multi-game iso." Given, this is a wiki, so all information may not be accurate or phrased well, but the two things it makes me want to ask are:
1. They say disc swapping works in Xi Loader. Does it not work with the launcher provided in the OP?
2. They said "works on multi-game iso". Are they trying to say that you can place both discs' images in a multi-game ISO and use them on one disc? This seems unlikely to me, but I thought I'd ask. How would you switch discs without rebooting?
Thanks in advance.

Disc swaping don't work so well at all, but in Gamecube backup laucher 0.2 or Xi, scroll thru the multiISO disc until you find disc 2, then press the Z button and there should be something indicating that you selected it as disc 2 of a 2 disc game, then find the disc1 and set that as disc1 (it may be default already) then boot the game. You can guarantee that if you burn 2 single iso discs then disc swaping will work.
I have seen some members having problems with that game if it is an out of region game, so if you have a NTSC console then get a NTSC iso, also yes, try booting it with the B button if it is a PAL game in a PAL console.

Do you have to have a internet connection for the mios patcher because I don't.
